Revisited: Cello's Doughnuts

Cello's Doughnuts used to be my go to place for doughnuts. I always go for its Honey Glazed C doughnuts or Pillows with dip. And I was thrilled when I spotted it at Shangri-La Plaza Mall.

I was a bit bummed that Cello's Doughnuts doesn't seem to carry my favorite Honey Glazed C doughnuts anymore. But they do have the normal shaped one and letter doughnuts (which is the cutest pasalubong idea). 

We ended up getting one Honey Glazed Classic Doughnut (PHP45) and French Toast with Banana, Pineapple, Cream, Syrup (PHP135). I also tried its Iced Matcha Latte (PHP145).

The doughnut was just okay for me. It still had that nice slightly sweet taste that I like. But I enjoy it more with dip. 

The French Toast was a bit underwhelming, especially for its price. I also didn't like it with the sour pineapple chunks. I think it's best to just stick with making your own version of this easy breakfast treat at home.

And just when I thought my drink could save my nice memories with Cello's, my drink barely tasted like matcha. It was just milk that happened to be green. 

Needless to say, our visit was a bust. But I'll give this another try and stick with doughnuts and make sure to grab some dips!
