Love at First Bite: Krispy Kreme's Bacon Cheese Doughnut

Krispy Kreme has been known for teasing us with its mouthwatering limited offerings. Remember the adorable Christmas doughnuts or the velvety Chocolate Glazed Doughnut? This time though, it made my heart skip two beats instead of one when I saw its newest offering... Bacon Cheese Doughnuts!

Hello, Krispy Kreme!

I've been rather off social media these past few weeks and I just found out Krispy Kreme's Bacon and Cheese Ring-Filled Doughnut (PHP65/piece) today when I visited its newest branch in Paseo de Magallanes.

This limited edition doughnut sure made the start of the BER months extra yummy with its beautiful harmony of sweet and savory flavors.

The Original Glazed doughnut is stuffed with melted cheese filling giving each bite this delightful cheesy taste which went delightfully well with the sweet doughnut. The bacon bits gave it texture and more savory flavor.

For some reason, this reminds me of pancakes, maple syrup and bacon combo, one of my favorite breakfast meals! Though it might be one treat you'd consider sinful to have early in the morning, I wouldn't mind having one or two to make my day a little bit brighter.

Now, I wonder, would it taste even more awesome if I enjoy this with sunny side up egg?
