First Sip: I'Milky

It's 2020 and I still feel that milk tea got me wrapped around its fingers, if it had any. I get so giddy to try new milk tea brands that I automatically free up tummy space even after a very heavy meal. For this week's treat, I tried I'Milky. 

Hello, I'Milky. 

I'Milky opened its first branch in Trinoma last September 2019. I was planning to try it sooner but I was rarely in Manila during the 'ber' months. It was a good thing too as the hype for this brand somehow dwindled when I visited. 

I originally wanted to try Matcha Milk but read somewhere that it was a bit underwhelming. Afraid to just waste PHP140 for a medium cup, I went with another bestseller, Wintermelon Tea Latte (PHP100, medium | PHP110, large) instead with pearls (+PHP20).

Unlike most milk tea shops, I'Milky hands out restaurant pager so that customers do not have to wait in front of the counter and crowd the area. 

And I must say, the store interiors is cute! 

My order was ready for pick up within 10 minutes. I was told that it's best to enjoy the drink by shaking it eight times (from what I remember). 

I didn't shake my drink right away as I wanted to taste the tea first. And it did not disappoint as it had a nice pronounced tea flavor. Blending it with milk gave it a more delicate flavor.

The pearls had a nice chewy texture and it wasn't overly sweet. 

Since I'm now sure that I'Milky satisfies my milk tea cravings, I'll try its Matcha Milk next!
