Hello, Mo' Cookies.
I've read countless happy comments on The Moment Group's popular cookies sold at Mess Hall and I was dying to grab hold of one or two. However, the insane Makati traffic kept getting in the way between me and these ginormous cookies. I guess I haven't reached the level of braving carmageddon just to satisfy my cookie craving.
But the cookie gods were kind to me as I spotted Mo' Cookies in Powerplant Mall while mindlessly strolling looking for new places to check out. (I'm not very updated with store openings in Makati as I really avoid this CBD area.)
Mo' Cookies offer 6 variants to choose from:
The Chocolate Chip (PHP120, single | PHP480, box of 4 | PHP960, box of 8)
Dark Chocolate Macadamia (PHP170, single | PHP680, box of 4 | PHP1,360, box of 8)
White Chocolate Walnut (PHP145, single | PHP580, box of 4 | PHP1,160, box of 8)
South Cotobato Chocolate Fudge (PHP145, single | PHP580, box of 4 | PHP1,160, box of 8)
Triple Choco Mallow (PHP145, single | PHP580, box of 4 | PHP1,160, box of 8)
and Nutella Crinkle (PHP145, single | PHP580, box of 4 | PHP1,160, box of 8)
If you can't decide on which one to get, you could also go for A Little of Everything (PHP865 for half dozen) or Crumb Size (PHP245, for a dozen). I asked for the bestsellers and I was told that the popular flavors are Dark Chocolate Macadamia and South Cotabato Chocolate Fudge. I got palm size cookies of both and the damage was PHP315.
Whuuut? PHP315 for two cookies? Is it worth it? YES.
Sure, it may not be the most bang for the buck afternoon treat but these huge cookies are excellent! Mo' Cookies are more than just hype. It offers quality cookies that are dense, moist, perfectly chewy and flavorful in every bite. And what I love most about it is that despite it looking overwhelmingly sweet, I could finish one with ease.
If I were to choose between Dark Chocolate Macadamia and South Cotabato Chocolate Fudge, I'd go with the former as it had more bite to it and I found it to have a more balanced flavor. Plus, I'm a big fan of dark chocolate. And if you're worried that it might be bitter, it's not.
I love how packed my cookies were. Chunky and generously mixed with premium chocolate, I could tell that I got my money's worth and that these cookies were not priced high just to pay for its rent.
Best to have these goodies with coffee, tea or milk!
