First Sip: Dark Specialty Coffee

I found myself getting lost in SM North one afternoon. As I try to look for a camera store that sells the lens I plan to buy for myself as Christmas gift, I spotted Dark Specialty Coffee. And since I love anything with caffeine, chocolate or tea, I decided to take a break from getting lost and have a drink.
Hello, Dark Specialty Coffee
Located near the cinemas, caffeine junkies could easily drop by and grab a cup or two to keep them alert throughout the latest flick they plan to watch.
I was overwhelmed with the choices available. I guess I was used to other coffee shops that have simpler and shorter menu.
Dark Specialty Coffee offers several beverages and catagorized it as loose-leaf premium tea, cold brewed health tea, hand crafted chocolate drinks, ice blended, cold brewed coffee, specialty coffee and espresso.
After much thought, I decided to go with Iced Blended Mocha with Single Origin Chocolate (PHP170, small | PHP185, regular | PHP 195, large).
While waiting for my drink, I took pictures of the place and checked out its yummy looking baked goods. I didn't try it though as I was not in the mood for cakes.

It took about 5 minutes for my drink to be ready for pick up.
I loved that my drink was just like the cafe's name... dark. It had a nice deep and rich slightly bitter chocolate flavor. It may not exactly be something those with sweet tooth would appreciate but I liked it.
I would have asked for less ice next time to avoid having my drink watered down. Or perhaps I'll try its hot version. Hopefully, it would have thicker texture.

Dark Specialty Coffee is located at 2nd Floor, SM North Edsa, Quezon City. It is near Onesimus Suits and Barongs.
