Hello, Scott Burger.
Known as a burger joint with branches located near LRT stations offering Buy One Get One burgers in the 90s, Scott Burger has been loved by many locals and commuters who frequent Manila area.
Named after entrepreneur Gregory Ty's eldest son, Scott Burger became a household name with its bang for the buck burgers which may have been the inspiration behind another burger brand now all over the country.
This time around, Scott Burger found a new home, not in another train station but at the 3rd floor, cinema level, of Uptown Bonifacio.
Continuing its legacy of pioneering Buy One Get One burgers, Scott Burger revamped its promo by offering its Original Scott Burger and Premium Burgers at Buy 6 Take 6. It even designed its restaurant after the LRT!
Original Scott Burgers are at PHP65 per piece or PHP95 for double patty and PHP420 for a dozen single patty burgers and PHP600 for a dozen double patty burgers. Premium burgers are at PHP75 per piece or PHP105 for double patty and PHP480 for a dozen single patty burgers and PHP660 for a dozen double patty burgers.
The burgers are packed in easy to carry around boxes that you can bring with you inside the cinema.
But it's not just the promo or the venue that changed. Scott Burger also tweaked its recipe adding Wagyu Beef cooked in miso butter and signature Scott Sauce in the mix!
I tried BBQ Bang Burger and China Town Burger during my visit. And both were good. The former is topped with barbecue sauce and kimchi slaw while the latter has mahu (or pork floss) as topping. Though the bread and patty ratio can be a bit better, I can't complain with the price I'm paying for considering it's wagyu. Tip: go for double patty!
Aside from its famous burgers, Scott Burger also offers a good range of chicken wings at PHP195 for 6 pieces and PHP375 for 12.
I loved Honey Soy Wings! I heard that the Buffalo Hot Wings is a crowd favorite but it was just not for me. Do try it though if you like spicy and slighty tangy wings.
Overall, this place offers bang for the buck dishes worth trying as lunch, dinner or movie snack.
