Since 1999: Brothers Burger

Do you still remember what you were doing in 1999? I sure don't but I know three brothers who clearly do. The Jose brothers started to revolutionize how burgers should be that year. The genius trio were tired of the usual burgers fast food chains offer and this triggered them to start their own burger joint--the first to make artisanal burgers. And Brothers Burger was born. Several years later, Brothers Burger is still a brand of choice for foodies particular with their patties. But on its 18th year, Brothers Burger has become more than just burgers. 

Hello, Brothers Burger. 

We were greeted by a green facade and a new menu board as soon as we reached Brothers Burger's High Street branch. At first, it looked unfamiliar with its new brand color and its numerous offerings but a whiff of its delectable burgers made me remember it's still the Brothers Burger we all love. 

The interiors of Brothers Burger also had a makeover as it looked a lot younger with its wall design and frames. 

To celebrate its 18th year, Brothers Burger launched its Mexican line which will be available at its High Street branch for now. I was thrilled when I saw soft tacos, burritos and quesadillas in the menu as I love these dishes! And I was lucky to be one of the first to sample it during its relaunch last July 7. 

The relaunch event was graced by the presence of De La Salle University's Lady Spikers, family and friends of the Jose brothers, and some prominent personalities like Jeron Teng, Gab Valenciano and former Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.

But the stars of the night were the Steak Burrito (PHP195), Cheese Quesadilla (PHP120), Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings (PHP195) and Steak Street Tacos (PHP195). We also feasted on Brothers Burger's delectable Onion Rings (PHP80) and French Fries (PHP80). 

I love that Brothers Burger did not scrimp on cheese with its quesadilla. Each bite was packed with flavor and I enjoyed topping it with salsa for more texture and slight contrast in taste. 

The Steak Burrito was a bit spicy for me but it was so good that I couldn't stop myself from eating more. The steak bits were so tender and flavorful. I ended up drinking two cans of Coke with this. Totally worth it! (Note: I have very low spice tolerance.)

The Steak Street Taco is good too. It's just like your steak burrito but taco version. 

The staff kept giving us chicken wings and we didn't mind it at all as the Garlic Parmensan wings were so good! I love that it was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. 

Of course, the onion rings and fries were superb too! 

Watch out for the announcement on when the Mexican line will be available in other branches. 

And speaking of branches, I heard that Brothers Burger will be opening 6 more branches this year! Yay!

Congratulations Brothers Burger and thank you for spoiling us with great food for 18 years.
