First Bite: Overdoughs

What's your staple cinema snack? Mine's always popcorn, hot dog on bun, soda and some sour tapes. And those last me till the end of the...trailers. I'm not kidding! But I might change my movie munchies to something more interesting and hopefully it lasts me till the first 10 minutes of the movie. 

Hello, Overdoughs!

After the successful launch of Overdoughs at Century City Mall, it opened its second store at Ayala Malls the 30th. And I was lucky to be invited to its grand opening last October 7. 

Unlike its first branch, Overdoughs (and Elait) at Ayala Malls the 30th has bigger space and even has a small dining area. It also offers coffee like Americano, Cafe Latte and Mocha. 

I tried Loukoumades (PHP120), Cookie Dough (PHP160) and Latte (PHP120, medium | PHP135, large) for this visit. 

Service could be a bit slow when place is packed as Overdoughs make doughnuts upon order ensuring each bite to be fresh and delectable. I didn't really mind the wait as I was busy catching up with friends too. However, for those who are trying to catch a movie, best to come early and allow at least 15 minute wait time. 

I got my iced latte first and it had a light coffee taste. It was pretty good but those who want something stronger might find this mild. I enjoyed it though with my sweet doughnuts. 

The Loukoumades was LOVE. It was like your usual pillow doughnuts but beautifully glazed with honey. 

Though some liked it with dip, I liked it best as is. 

Cookie dough is available in two flavors--Choco Chip and Oreo S'mores. Both were great but I liked Oreo S'mores more being biased for the famous twist-lick-dunk cookie. 

I found these two a bit too sweet for my liking though and I think I would have liked this more with milk than coffee. 

I will definitely drop by again and get more Loukoumades. I'll also try Beignet and the other dips.
