Hello, Mitsuyado Sei-Men.
I usually go for ramen over tsukemen as I enjoy slurping hot broth. But I occasionally order tsukemen to change things a bit.
Mitsuyado Sei-Men is one of the top brands in mind when it comes to tsukemen. I've heard so much about it but never had the chance to drop by any of its branches as most were out of the way or in areas I hardly frequent. Thankfully, H of AlwaysHungryPH sent me its cook-it-yourself Yuzu Tsukemen (PHP305) to try.
The pack comes with vacuum-sealed noodles, dipping soup, toppings, tare, and onion leeks.
The guide was very easy to follow and took me a total of 15 minutes to prepare and cook everything.
All I had to do was boil water and cook the noodles for 2 minutes. Boil the dipping soup, add toppings, and add the tare and onion leeks once ready.
And dinner is ready!
Since the noodles were freshly cooked, it was not a sticky mess.
The broth was a bit on the salty side but beautifully balanced by the thick noodles.
I also loved the pork or chasiu bits as it added bite and smokey flavor to the dish.
One order is very filling and could even be split to two if you intend to have this as a snack or light meal.
