Hello, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
R and I decided to pay its picturesque Crosswinds Tagaytay branch a visit two weeks ago and figured it would be a great idea to try its newest drinks since the cool breeze disappeared on our third day down south.
I originally planned to just grab Mango Ice Blended (PHP185, regular) and Sunrise Ice Blended (PHP185, regular) but spotted the Masarap Ba approved Chocolate Crinkles (PHP60/piece) and knew that I had to give in.
The Mango Ice Blended was like summer in a cup! With pronounced mango taste complemented by whipped cream, it was like enjoying mango float without graham. What I love most about it is that its right level of sweetness make it a lovely drink to have during a long ride back to Manila.
I wish I could say the same for Sunrise Ice Blended but I'm just not fond of orange and whipped cream combo. Others who want something different might enjoy this though.
I was excited to take a big bite off the big crinkle and took one right after taking the shot above.
And Masarap Ba strikes again. It is good! Moist, chocolatey with a bit of crunch. I actually expected it to be dry given how these Classic Confections' crinkles were kept (on a display tray with glass lid). Though it might seem steep at PHP60 per piece, I wouldn't mind grabbing another one.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is located at Crosswinds, Calamba Road, Tagaytay City.
