Hello, Tiny Teapot Bakery Cafe.
My mom told me about this restaurant a few weeks ago and can't stop raving about its pandesal and Spanish bread. Since I was around the area yesterday, I decided to have lunch there with my mom and sister.
I was greeted by light colored furniture with touches of red and grey. There were also some small frames on the wall adding charm to the place. There's also an al fresco place for those who smoke.
I decided to go for Beef Tenderloin Tapa (PHP139)and Darksweet Champorado (PHP49) while my mom went with Seafood Marinara (PHP129) and my sister got the Spanish Omelette (PHP99).
My sister's omelette looked fluffy and it was pretty good! It was seasoned well and I loved the generous serving of mushrooms. And since my sister doesn't eat mushrooms (isn't it weird she ordered that?), I got some of it to go with my scrambled egg.
The Seafood Marinara was pretty good too though it would have been nicer if it had more red sauce to make it more flavorful. Or maybe I just didn't get enough sauce on the portion I got.
It was love at first bite with the tapa. It was so tender and packed with flavor. It had the flavor I look for when eating tapa. It had that delectable sweet, salty and slight tangy taste that I absolutely love.
I have to admit, it came very close to winning the top spot for the best tapa in town (for me).
The best one is still my mom's; and yes, I'm being biased here.
I was told that its Darksweet Champorado is special because it uses dark chocolate for extra flavor. And true enough, it was pretty good. And for PHP49, it was a steal!
I have yet to try its pandesal, Spanish bread, empanada and cheese roll which I got to go. But I'm just too excited to share this awesome find with you!
