First Bite: Cheesecake Stix

A meal is never complete without desserts. I've been used to having something sweet to cap my meal that despite being at the verge of bursting, I still find space for ice cream, cake or what-have-you. And last weekend, I had a mini food crawl with my sister which ended with feasting on cheesecake on a stick. Yes, on a stick!

Hello, Cheesecake Stix!
Cheesecake Stix became the talk of town when it launched its cheese cake on a stick.
Though it's not exactly a new idea as one quick Google search will show you recipes and food trucks featuring this delicious treat, CheesecakeStix is the one of the first brands to offer it locally.
This sweet treat haven doesn't have a physical store as of the moment but it actively join events and bazaars on a weekly basis that you won't miss it (as much).
I visited its stall in Uptown Bonifacio last weekend and tried its three bestsellers namely Lotus at First Sight, Oreo Madness and Heavenly S'mores. Each cheesecake stick costs PHP180. You can also customize your frozen cheesecake at PHP200 which includes 1 coat (milk chocolate or Lotus Biscoff), 2 toppings and 1 drizzle (white chocolate, Nutella or caramel).
It was quite fun to watch them prepare my cheesecakes
I was impressed with how generous they are with the ganache coating and pretty much everything else giving you your money's worth.
I first tried Lotus and it was an instant favorite! With frozen cheesecake covered in Lotus Biscoff sauce and topped with Lotus crumbs and Lotus biscuit, it was screaming Lotus. The hint of cinnamon and other spices which Lotus is definitely pronounced and addictive while it beautifully blended with the cheesecake
I tried Oreo next and was overwhelmed with how chocolatey it was. I make a mess every time I lift the cheesecake. Topped with Oreo crumbs, Oreo cookie and white chocolate drizzle, this is a dream come true for hardcore chocolate lovers. Sadly, it did not win me over with its sweet combination. The ganache was too thick for my liking and it masked the delicious taste of cheesecake
S'mores has the same chocolate coating but instead of Oreos, it is topped with torched marshmallow and caramel sauce. This one had a nice chewy texture thanks to the marshmallows but again, the taste was just too strong and cloying for me.
I really hope that Cheesecake Stix sell plain cheesecakes soon as it's pretty good! I'd buy a stick or two in a heart beat if they offer it. It would also make me feel less guilty.

Curious if the hype's real? Like their Facebook page or follow them on Instagram to know where they will be present next! They also accept on-line orders and deliver your favorites. Contact them at Cheesecakestixph@gmail.com or +63966.3420442 for orders.
