Awesome Together: Kenny Rogers' Bacon Roast

Kenny Rogers has something new up its sleeves and it's bound to be awesome.

Known for its bang for the buck meals, Kenny Rogers has been one of my favorite places to get my chicken fix. And when I got invited to the media preview of Kenny Rogers' short film featuring Solz and Bolz, I said yes in a heartbeat. I figured that it would be a funny film starring Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico given that they are the current ambassadors of the famous roast chicken chain. 

The event started at one of the cinemas of Ayala Malls the 30th where we were given some brownies to munch on. 

Soon, the short film was played and it was definitely different from what I was expecting. It was a very adorable animation between Solz (a sultry chicken) and Bolz (a rather hunky with 6 pack abs pig). Voiced by Solenn and Nico with special participation of Potato (the couple's tortoise), it was a very creative way to highlight Kenny Rogers' newest offering, Bacon Roast. I couldn't tell much about the commercial but do check it out as it gets released today, July 16!

Solenn and Nico joined the festivities after the preview of the commercial and we got to know the dynamic couple a lot better after a brief Q&A with them. It was a blast watching them interact. It was like watching Instagram Live with all their banters.  

The program continued at Kenny Rogers where we indulged in Bacon Roast, a beautiful combination of two classic favorites. 

Thin layers of bacon enveloped the roasted to perfection chicken adding a nice salty and meaty flavor to the crowd favorite meal. Pair it with your favorite side and you're bound to have a great meal. (Just don't expect a strong bacon flavor as the roast chicken still gets center stage taste-wise.)

Its Solo Meal costs PHP255 and it comes with two sides of your choice while a set good for 4 is priced at PHP840.

Bacon Roast is available in all Kenny Rogers branches nationwide starting July 16.
