Restaurant Favorite: Serenitea

Serenitea has been one of the pioneer brands in the milk tea category and it has remained strong foothold on the market with its continuous releases of new drinks and its highly anticipated jumbo cups! And it partnering with money saving food app Booky made it even more enticing for milk tea fanatics.

Hello, Serenitea.

It's rare for me to see an empty Serenitea store as most are usually filled by fellow boba fans or Grab Food guys. And I've been visiting Serenitea more often the past few months as I get this extra push from Booky's tempting BOGO deal.

Okay, it's not exactly buy one, get one as the discount's just PHP66 or more than half of a large cup order. But the idea of having two of my favorite Winter Melon Milk Tea for just PHP154 (instead of PHP220 for two large cups) wasn't bad at all. In fact, I saw a handful of customers availing of the same deal when I dropped by its SM Megamall branch. 

Service was actually fast despite the place being packed with a lot of customers. I think I was 5th in queue but I managed to get my order in 10 minutes or less. The only thing I didn't like was that the A/C seems to be always down whenever I visit. It was really warm inside and it doesn't help that the small space is crowded.

A huge smile is quickly plastered on my face though as soon as I get a sip of my favorite drink. I love how Serenitea kept quality consistent throughout the years and many branches later.

My cup of Winter Melon had this delectable sweetness from winter melon which is balanced by tea. The pearls were cooked right as it wasn't too hard nor too soft. And to indulge in two cups of this is HEAVEN. Just don't count the calories. 

I feel so bad though that I totally missed Booky's summer sale where an annual subscription only costs PHP477! I could break even in just one month with the milk tea deals alone! Oh well.
