Hello, Pound!
Pound has been one of the burger places I'm confident to recommend, may it be to friends or total strangers. Aside from its quality ground beef patty and good selection of dishes, its pocket friendly price range makes Pound great for foodies from different walks of life.
Its Eastwood branch may not be as spacious as its Bonifacio High Street branch but it has a brighter dining area perfect for those who want to score that Instagram worthy photos.
For this visit, I tried something I haven't ordered before-- #Backyard Double Cheeseburger (PHP380 | PHP280, single patty). I paired it with Truffle Risotto Tater Tots (PHP75), Good Ol' Fries (PHP90) and capped it off with a Solo T.E. Sundae (PHP100).
Despite being packed, my food was served in no time. My hefty and mouthwatering burger and sides were on the table in less than 10 minutes.
Truffle Risotto Tater Tots is one of my favorite sides. I may be a bit biased here as I love truffle (as you can tell from my previous posts) and risotto. Putting them together and giving it an addicting crunch made it even more irresistible!
Good ol' fries are your straightforward potato goodness. Though it doesn't really put anything new to the table, I need some in order to have the complete burger experience.
And for the highlight of my visit, the juicy double cheeseburger!
It was one beautiful mess. It's impossible to hold it without having some of the patty's juice drip. It simply shows that it was done right.
Each bite was oozing with meaty flavor from the house ground beef patty which was wonderfully complemented by cheddar cheese and greens. It was so good that I finished the whole thing in less than 15 minutes.
I actually told myself that I'd only eat half since I ordered two sides. But I couldn't stop myself from finishing such heavenly burger.
Though I've visited Pound countless times, this was my first time to try one of its desserts, the T.E. Sundae. And I have to admit, it was sinful! But definitely worth every bite. I don't know what magic Pound did to this dessert but despite its chocolate overload, it wasn't too sweet that I finished it too. (Darn it!)
Will I go back? Of course!
P.S. They also have $1 Dollar Deals available in all branches! Grab your favorites for just PHP50 each!
