ECQ Favorite: Martin Markus' Frozen Apple Crumble and Classic Burnt Cheesecake

A meal is never complete without desserts. I'd always grab some sweets after a meal to end each one in a good note. And when Gina Young of Gold Leaf Tea told me that she revived her dessert business, Martin Markus, I was excited to try it out! After all, how can one resist cheesecake and apple crumble?

Hello, Martin Markus.
Martin Markus opened once again a few weeks ago. It has been steadily gaining patrons with its limited yet mouthwatering selection of desserts.
Martin Markus sent me its Classic Burnt Cheesecake (PHP799) and Frozen Apple Crumble (PHP799) to try. Both came in tin cans that most of us repurpose for storing all sorts of knick-knacks.
I first tried the cheesecake and instantly fell in love with its dense texture and light flavor. I loved the tinge of tangy flavor from the cream cheese that went beautifully well with the complimentary Gold Leaf Tea. A small portion is enough to satiate your hunger for cheesecake. And it is one treat seniors would love!
I thought the cheesecake was pretty good. But I was blown away by the frozen apple crumble! It was superb!
The crumble on top had that drool-worthy and addictive crunch. I also enjoyed the crunchiness of the apple bits. The vanilla ice cream in the middle was excellent and balanced everything. And the graham base gave it a harmonious end with its cinnamon touch. I loved it so much that I finished half of the can in one day. I tried to make it last a week. But it was just too good!
Our senior companions at home found it too sweet. They also had a hard time biting the crumble. But if you have a sweet tooth and have no teeth problems, I'm sure that you'd love this frozen treat as much as I do.
I heard that its Dalgona Coffee Cheesecake (PHP799) is good too. I have to wait for a few more months before I get to try it as I try my best to have limited caffeine intake.
Other desserts available for order are Blueberry Ice Cream, Peaches and Cream Ice Cream, and Dalgona Coffee Ice Cream for PHP399 each.
