Hello, Sebastian's Ice Cream!
Our favorite unpredictable ice cream shop launched four new flavors to celebrate the month of love and as always, Sebastian's never fail to surprise us with innovative flavors.
For this year's line up, Sebastian's offers Matinong Boyfriend, Matinong Girlfriend, Closure and Unresolved Issues. With these witty names, it's hard to not try at least one. In fact, we tried all!
If you are not very adventurous with your dessert, Matinong Boyfriend is the one for you. Made with almond butter milk chocolate ice cream with blackberry ripple, it's pretty much your rich and velvety chocolate ice cream with some hints of berry for contrast.
Those fond of textures would appreciate Matinong Girlfriend as it cheese ice cream mixed with cheesy white chocolate dipped potato chips and multigrain chips. It's a marriage of sweet and savory favorites!
True to its name, Closure is one flavor that would bring calmness... to your taste buds. Made with chai ice cream infused with black tea, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and peppercorns, each spoonful is packed with spices that would make you think you're at Eat Pray Love's shoot location.
But if you are craving for something totally different, Unresolved Issues or ampalaya (bitter gourd) sorbet with candied ampalaya is for you. Light and refreshing with a tinge of bitterness from the not-so-popular-with-the-kids vegetable, it is definitely one of a kind.
Sebastian's Leche Flan Torte (PHP145) also piqued our interest and we couldn't help ourselves from trying a slice. And it was one delicious piece of heaven!
Ice cream placed on top of baked cookie crust and beautifully layered with leche flan, it was one sweet treat you shouldn't miss. It comes in three flavors--classic, mango sorbet and chocolate. We tried classic and fell in love with it!
