First Bite: Indulge Ice N Cream

Rain or shine, ice cream is a staple treat in Manila. With summer heat lingering year round, it won't be surprising to know a friend or two who can wolf down a tub of this cold treat in one sitting. I usually could not resist the urge of grabbing a scoop or two myself whenever I pass by an ice cream parlor. And when I dropped by Novotel Manila Araneta Center, Indulge enticed me to try a few of its flavors. 

Hello, Indulge. 

I was in a rush to head somewhere else after a quick errand at Novotel so I zeroed in on Indulge's grab and go Ice N Cream which offers a nice mix of classic and new flavors. 

The friendly staff also made choosing easier for me as she gave some recommendations and let me try the ones I was eying. I ended up getting Yo Berry Yo! and Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (PHP110/140, 1 scoop | PHP200/260, 2 scoops | PHP270/340, 3 scoops).

Yo Berry Yo! is a sugar-free variant of Indulge which is yogurt based. Don't let its label convince you not to get this as it's natural sweet flavor makes it a lovely treat to cap your meal or a great afternoon break snack. 

I also love that I felt that I gave my body something good by choosing this flavor. 

Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go is a witty way to name a coffee-based ice cream flavor. The caffeine taste is pronounced in every spoonful yet not leaving any bitter notes. 

Though prices may be considered slightly steep for some, you definitely get what you paid for with its smooth and creamy consistency. Flavorful yet not cloying, grabbing a scoop or two here is an indulgence worth every penny and calorie!
