First Sip: Nitro 7 Coffee & Tea Bar

I used to be heavily dependent on coffee that I need at least a cup or two a day to function. Avoiding it has been a difficult task but I've slowly became less hooked to the fragrant drink after some time. But I could never say no to a cup of mocha. And when I spotted Nitro 7, I just have to try its Nitro Mocha. 

Hello, Nitro 7 Coffee & Tea Bar. 

As you could tell from its name, Nitro 7 Coffee & Tea Bar is not your usual place to get your caffeine fix. 

It is the first nitrogen-infused coffee and tea bar in Manila and the Philippines. It was able to find a way to prepare and coffee and tea healthier by having its drinks sweeter and creamier without sugar or milk. 

But what intrigued me the most was how they serve its 18-hour brewed coffee from tap. It was quite refreshing to see that.

I tried its Nitro Mocha (PHP120, regular | PHP135, large) when I spotted it at Ayala Malls the 30th. 

I wanted to take a photo of the tap dispensing coffee but I had difficulty focusing hence having to pour more cold coffee than needed. 

I was worried that my drink would end up too bitter but it turned out to be a tad too sweet for my liking. I'm not sure if they added more chocolate to the mix to balance or counter the excess cold coffee but it turned out to be a bad idea. 

I was quite disappointed with my first Nitro 7 experience but I'm willing to give it a second shot given that I am responsible for messing up my first cup. 

Maybe I'll try its Milk Tea next time.
