First Bite: 24 Chicken Delivery Manila

Most of us try to be better versions of ourselves come the start of the new year. I've had several new year's resolutions but most if not all end up in the bin. And after several years of making new goals, I decided to make this year's resolutions more realistic and attainable. And one of my goals this 2018 is to be more exposed to new flavors, primarily spicy food. Now is the time to try that spicy chicken

Hello, 24 Chicken Delivery Manila.
I got a message from 24 Chicken Delivery Manila last month asking if I would be interested to try its flavored fried chicken. I instantly said yes as I've been curious about this joint's chicken after seeing several posts from other foodies. I just couldn't find the time to visit them as they are located near Taft Avenue which is far from where I live or places I frequent. Thankfully, they had mine delivered via Lalamove.
The awesome guys behind 24 Chicken Delivery Manila gave me Jack Daniels (PHP168, half with bones | PHP318, whole with bones | PHP188, half boneless | PHP328, whole boneless) and Spicy BBQ (PHP168, half with bones | PHP318, whole with bones | PHP188, half boneless | PHP328, whole boneless) to try.
I have to admit, I was scared of both chicken's intimidating red sauce which usually means "hella spicy". I took a nibble off Jack Daniels first and I was surprised that it had a nice sweet taste to it than spicy. It gave me the much needed courage to take on Spicy BBQ
But Spicy BBQ is no joke for a person with low spice tolerance. It was really spicy! Marked with two chilis, this variant seemed to be 5 (or even 10) times spicier than my favorite Cheetos JalapeƱo. But it has this addicting flavor that despite feeling tortured, I couldn't stop myself from finishing what I started. I just had to take a few cola or milk breaks to survive.
Taste aside, I was impressed with how well the chicken kept its crispy skin despite having to wait over 2 hours before I ate it. I don't know what sorcery 24 Chicken Delivery did but I love it!
I guess these savory dishes are best enjoyed with rice as both were really tasty and could be cloying for some who do not like bold flavors. And good news for those who cannot live without rice as 24 Chicken Delivery Manila also offers rice meals for just PHP85 - PHP100 for two piece chicken (with bones or boneless) with rice! Now that's a steal!
To date, they still have limited delivery areas (Vito Cruz, DLSU and CSB - free delivery | Malate, P. Gil, U.N. Avenue - plus PHP40 delivery fee) but they are working on covering more areas soon! Contact them at 0927 122 3550 for inquiries or orders.

Thanks again, 24 Chicken Delivery Manila!
