La Lola Flies to Singapore!

La Lola has been spoiling us with its freshly made churros and its rich chocolate dip since December 2014. Now with 16 strong stores nationwide and offering a mix of sweet and savory bites and drinks, La Lola is ready to fly and spread happiness outside the Philippines.

Yes, the brand that was conceptualize and grew in Manila is now on its way to Clarke Quay, Singapore. 

Opening this November, La Lola Singapore will be redesigned as a cafe that offers some new items such as Pork Floss Xuxo, Cream Cheese Dip and Yakult Iced Tea.

We were able to get a taste of these new items last week and we can't get over how La Lola was able to seamlessly combine the flavorful pork floss with the famous Spanish treat. 

But Chef Ed did something great. He stuffed the churros with garlic aioli then topped it with pork floss drizzled with cheese to put the mahu in place. The flavors and textures were complex yet went beautifully well together. 

Those who want savory dips for their churros would love La Lola's Cream Cheese Dip. The mild and smooth cream cheese is an excellent choice as it has that perfect savory flavor that won't overwhelm the taste buds. 

And all these savory dishes would go so well with Yakult Iced Tea. The house blend iced tea mixed with yakult sure hits the spot. It was refreshing and the best drink to go with these new treats.
