First Bite: Eatogether Food Hall's Salad Station

I love it how our insatiable need for Instagram-worthy spaces has changed the food court scene. The birth of food halls (and food parks) added spark to our mundane quick lunch breaks and put extra oomph in our social media feeds. And one food hall spiced things up with a few taps here and there.

Hello, Eatogether Food Hall
Eatogether Food Hall is yet another concept by the Vikings Group that adds new twists and flair to the current food scene.
Unlike other food halls, Eatogether has a cashless payment system similar to food courts or food halls in other Asian countries. Simply secure a Vikings card and load at least PHP200. And order, just visit the store you'd want to grab food from and select your food via the touch screen monitors on its stalls. Tap your card to pay.
I love this concept as it avoids the hassle of rummaging one's bag for loose change.

There are several food stations in Eatogether ranging from healthy eats like salad from Salad Station, Asian delights from Hawker Lane and Mien Bao, Filipino favorites from Jeepney Avenue and Italian picks from L'Italiano.
The first stall I got to try was Salad Station which offers salad bowls, wraps and ice cream. This stall got plus points from me as this was the only stall (where we ordered) that offers to bring your food to your table!

Do not underestimate the Chicken Gyro Wraps from Salad Station as this is quite heavy and filling. Best to add sauce in this dish as it tends to be on the dry side when enjoyed as is. There's also Mango Kani Salad for those who are not fond of wraps.
The Chicken Caesar Salad was great too! It was generously topped with Caesar dressing giving each mouthful that delectable tangy flavor. The crunch from the croutons, bacon bits and crisp lettuce was just too addictive! Chicken chunks were bountiful too. Though price is a bit steep at PHP288, I wouldn't mind grabbing another bowl of this.
And if miss Taiwanese desserts, you would love Salad Station's Ice Cream rolls! Available for  only PHP88 in vanilla, ube, sesame and avocado, reminisce those days you were in the picturesque Jiufen.
I'm so happy that Salad Station was generous with the crushed peanuts which added texture to the dessert. I would have loved it more if there were more cilantro though.

Healthy yet delicious dishes? I'm in!

Watch out for a series of Eatogether food finds on the blog this week!

Salad Station is located at Eatogether, 2nd Floor, Unimart, Capitol Commons, Pasig City. It also has a branch in SM Megamall.  (P.S. This place is also pet friendly!)
