Myeongdong in L.A.?!?

I’m sure that all K-Pop fans know what Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, and Namdaemun are… shopping havens. Well, I found a similar one here in L.A. and they call it Americana.
A classier looking Myeongdong, I’d say it looked more like Apgujeong (less the posh clubs), Americana was the first place I fell in love with here in L.A.. Filled with families during the weekends, this place is filled with good stores such as Forever 21, H&M, Barnes & Noble, and restaurants and cafes such as Crumbs and The Cheesecake Factory.
Feeling a bit touristy (or simply lazy)? This place also offers free trolley ride which will tour you around the area.
I loved the fountain in the middle of the (uhm) mall. It seemed like I was in a park rather than in a shopping area. It was relaxing to just sit around it and do one of my favorite pastimes… people-watching.
A RAINBOW!!! :)
Right across Americana is Glendale Galleria housing several retail favorites such as Banana Republic, Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Cotton On, Macy’s, JCPenny, Target, and more! There are also several good food finds such as Kyochon Chicken and Ice N Cream.

About 6 minutes away from Americana lies another food find… Porto’s. But this is another story.
