Hello, Jamie's Kebabs.
Jamie's Kebabs is the newest food concept by the people behind Main Street. It serves the classic beef, chicken and lamb kebabs as well as other staples like hummus and pita wraps.
I tried its Hummus with Roasted Bell Peppers (PHP190), Kebab Sampler (PHP329), and Beef Kebab Pita Wrap (PHP159). And everything was pretty good.
Indulging in hummus and pita was a lovely way to start my meal. It had that nice grainy texture and addictive umami flavor. The bell pepper bits and fried chickpea added bite to the dip. I found one pita to be not enough. So best to order extra pita (PHP49, two pieces).
The kebab sampler came with beef, chicken, and lamb kebabs and served with grilled tomato, garlic sauce, and hot sauce on the side on top of buttered rice. Among the kebabs, the chicken kebab was the one I loved best. But I'm biased. I have always liked chicken kebab the most.
If you want something lighter, go for pita wraps. I loved that each bite of my Beef Kebab Pita Wrap had complex texture thanks to the generous serving of tomato, red onions, cucumber, lettuce, and beef chunks. I smothered it too with garlic sauce for that extra flavor. (Kebab pita wraps are also available in chicken and lamb.)
I liked everything a lot that I finished everything in one sitting.
I'd surely order again soon. I highly recommend Jamie's Kebabs' pita wraps and hummus for quick yet filling snacks. And its kebab sampler is good for sharing!
