Trader Joe's Favorite: Speculoos Cookie and Cocoa Swirl

Just when I thought the cookie butter craze is fading a bit, a new one appeared and made an even stronger impact!

Hello, Speculoos Cookie and Cocoa Swirl!

I was a bit iffy about trying it as I want to be a foodie hipster here! (If there's such a thing.)
But Trader Joe's is like a temptation island. You just want to try everything you see. A lot of their products are covered in chocolate. I love chocolate. Am I in heaven? Okay, I'm getting off topic here.
The Cookie and Cocoa Swirl seems to be in demand as we need to go to the customer service counter to get a jar or two. Yes, distribution is limited too.

We got to taste it first and true enough, it's sooo good! It has this cinnamon mixed with chocolate taste yet not very sweet. It also has a bit of rough and crunchy texture from the cookies. Definitely a pantry must-have!

I tried it as is, on toast, on apple, and now I seriously want to buy a waffle maker!

Speculoos Cookie and Cocoa Swirl is available in Trader Joe's. For those in Manila, you may grab a jar at Brown Paper Bag store. You may visit their Facebook page or Brown Paper Bag store blog. You may also email them at brownpaperbagstore@gmail.com.

    1. It's the latest craze! Apparently, even before this, some people discovered that cookie butter goes amazingly well with Nutella! And I guess that's how this was created. :)

  2. There are Trader Joe's cookie butter and other stuff in Cash N Carry in Makati, Mezzanine. It costs P400 per jar. Much less expensive than the ones bought from The Manila Store/Facebook page.

    2. The usual imported stuff ("px goods" as other would say. :-) ) like perfume, chocolates, soaps, vitamins and other meds and and food. Even bags. i am just not sure if the bags are authentic. But the edible stuff? They are reliable.
