Despite my healthy appetite for food, I also enjoy doing sporty things. (Most of my friends don't believe me though.) I love biking, table tennis, laser tag (if you consider that as a sport), and bowling. I am also game to try other things like paintball and hiking. Anyway, I was thrilled when SM Megamall revived its bowling alley. Oh yeah, the gutter queen is back!
My friend A and I decided to be a bit sporty one Saturday and we thought of giving the new bowling alley at SM Megamall a try. My sister wanted to join as she needs to do something active as plus points for her P.E. class.
I arrived early so that we could get a parking spot and we decided to have a quick brunch at Figaro. BIG MISTAKE. When A finally arrived, we have to wait for a spot. It didn't take long though. I'd say our wait was roughly 20 minutes maximum.
As soon as we heard our names, we approached the cashier, paid the PHP175 per head fee (shoe rental included) and collected two balls each.
I felt bad for my sister as she had a hard time lifting the balls.
When the game started, my sister had a good lead and A and I were noobs. But as the game progressed, my sister ended up being last with A as first and me as second. But the thing is, our average as a group was still terrible.

Love at First Bite: Custaroonery by Gigi Gaerlan
My close friends know that I find it hard to just order one dish. Normally, I have to order an appetizer, main course, and dessert. But they also know out of the three, the most important is the last one. I just can't give up sweets. I'll just become a very hostile foodie if deprived of my sweet endings.
While looking for a place to have dinner, I came across this cute looking kiosk. Dainty and sweet-looking, I was attracted like a fly to light. I had no power. (Okay, fine, I did but I let my glutton spirit overpower me.)
Soon, I was in front of Custaroonery and staring at the simple menu card and ended up ordering a box of 6custaroons in a span of 1 minute. I was super excited to enjoy it with my sister!

Restaurant Discovery: Osaka Ohsho
There are only a few times when I am willing to wait for a table when I'm hungry... when I traveled far just to get there, it's a new place, or there's a long line and it made me VERY curious. And last Saturday, it was because of the last two reasons.
We noticed a long line in front of a restaurant I haven't seen before. It looks... Japanese. And true enough, it's a restaurant that claims to serve the number one gyoza. It's Osaka Ohsho. I asked how many people are in line and there were a party of 12 before us. Yes, it's a long line but in my mind, long line means good food. And since we were not so hungry then, I had my name listed and waited.
It took an hour for us to get a table and we would have missed it if we didn't return. We were up next and we did not get any message from the front host.
As soon as we sat down, I already have dishes in mind. I remember the host mention the Black Vinegar Chicken set (PHP360) to be one of their bestsellers so I chose that while C went for a katsu set. I also got a half order of the Osaka Ohsho Salad (PHP195) and Fresh Mango Yakult (PHP125).

First Bite: 8 Cuts Burger Blends
Burgers. My tummy must be filled with burgers to last me a lifetime. I have been munching on burgers for months now! I had tons of burgers when I was on vacation and I had tons of burgers when I got back here. Heck, I even had a burger during the day of love. (Hey, that's my day!) And today, I will share another burger joint I have visited recently.
Hello, 8 Cuts Burger Blends!
I saw 8 Cut's signage on our way to the parking lot. I must say, having a store signage facing EDSA is pretty effective to capture attention and create interest. (Or maybe it was just me.)
We then went straight to the fashion wing and went to the 3rd floor to see this new burger place. And thankfully, the place wasn't packed at all.
