The Search is on for the Happiest Pinoy

Resilient is one of the words that best describe Filipinos. Such trait was seen several times when we got hit by super typhoons and other sorts of calamities and tragedies. Despite losing homes and at the brink of losing hope, Filipinos stand on their feet and face the day with bright smiles and strong determination to recover. And this is what inspired the country's largest microfinancal service company Cebuana Lhuillier to come up with a Search for the Happiest Pinoy.

Street food makes me crazy happy!

It all started in 2009 when Cebuana Lhuillier felt that recognition is due for those who face difficulties in life yet tackle it with optimism and can-do attitude. Aside from it being an admirable trait, individuals who overcame trials can also be sources of inspiration for those who are experiencing similar situations.

Role models. More than being inspirations, these Happiest Pinoys serve as role models to the community or circles they influence. This is why Cebuana Lhuillier expanded its categories into: youth, senior citizens, persons with disability (PWDs), manggagawang Pinoy, professionals, lingkod bayan, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), entrepreneurs, employees and lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. The Happiest Pinoy 2018 will come from one of the category winners.

We also got a chance to listen to some of the previous winners' stories and how they have used up their winnings and fame into something more worthwhile. One winner is a PWD who helped distribute wheel chairs to several PWDs giving them more mobility and a better way of life. And after winning, he even increased the number of wheel chairs tenfold! Definitely inspiring.

Or simply visit a Cebuana Lhuillier branch, ask for an application form, accomplish all blanks and send it to the nearest Cebuana Lhullier. 

Deadline of subimission is on November 13, 2018. All category winners will receive a cash prize of PHP50,000 each while the Happiest Pinoy Grand winner will receive PHP1,000,000!
