I am definitely not a morning person anymore. I had to set my alarm 5 times with 5 minute interval in case I just click "stop" instead of snooze. But there are still things that motivate me to wake up early such as crazy morning flights, sunrise by the beach and of course, breakfast! And last Monday, McDonald's celebrated its 6th National Breakfast Day with a bang by giving away its new Longgadesal to early risers.
Hello, McDonald's.
I had an early morning shoot at Mall of Asia last Monday so I thought of going earlier so that I could swing by McDonald's and celebrate National Breakfast Day.
Luckily, the branch I visited wasn't as packed as the ones I saw online as there was no celebrity in sight to hand out free Longgadesal. Or maybe it was because I arrived a bit past 8 a.m..
I quickly ordered Longgadesal (PHP82 with egg and coffee | PHP62 with egg | PHP65 with coffee | PHP42, solo) along with fries and large cup of orange juice. I heard that this burger tastes better with coffee or hot chocolate but the summer heat won when I was ordering.
I loved how very Filipino this meal is. Pandesal as bun, each bite leaves this slight sweet taste in your mouth. The longganisa patty was great. It was not a trying hard longganisa as it has that distinct sweet yet savory flavor that we all love.
I'll definitely try it with egg next time!
P.S. Download the McDonald's Viber stickers!!! It's so cute and very millennial, perfect to annoy the parents for a Happy Meal.
McDonald's has branches nationwide.
