Southern Chronicles: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory opens in Molito, Alabang

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is no stranger to me. I've had it back in 2011 during one of my travels. Back then I wasn't too adventurous with food and didn't really like the idea of having my chocolate or caramel with a Granny Smith apple. Fast forward to 2017, I got acquainted with the chocolate wonderland again and discovered some treats that made me smile from ear to ear.

Hello, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Truffles the bear finally made it to the South. And it is the first thing you'll notice when you get inside Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Molito, Alabang.
Trays of chocolate covered treats distracted me from mingling with other guests.
It was definitely hard to get your eyes off the mouthwatering sweets when it seems to be inviting you to take a bite. I have no idea how parents get to control their kids here.
To celebrate the opening of its Molito branch, we indulged in some treats that are only available in the South.
We started with some Signature Chocolate Shots (PHP200) and I got drunk with happiness.
The thick and hallow milk chocolate shaped as a shot glass was filled with whipped cream and topped with a huge strawberry. I loved the contrast between the sweet and creamy chocolate and the slightly tangy fruit. However, the edible shot glass was too big for the strawberry and I wasn't even halfway done with it when I finished my berry. (Note: This is only available on weekends.)
While waiting for my turn to decorate my caramelized apple, I ordered a glass of Iced Latte (PHP150). It was served on a tall glass which made me feel that it was bang for the buck. However, one sip of it made me realize that it lacked the caffeine kick I was looking for. It was quite milky. I guess I should have ordered black instead. And it would beautifully complement the sweets I've been eating.
I had a blast making my own edible snowman. I topped it with white sprinkles, some colorful chocolate bits and marshmallow as hat. How do you like my smiling snowman?
However, I am still not a fan of the apple and caramel or chocolate combo. R, on the other hand, liked it! In fact, he finished it! He didn't comment though on how I decorated it. *sad*
My favorite from Rocky Mountain was the scrumptious S'mores. One bar could last you a few days as it was pretty big! I fell in love with the rich milk chocolate paired with graham and thick marshmallow
Another sweet treat I liked was Chocolate Pops (PHP100/piece). It is the ideal treat to give out to messy eaters as this one is easy to bite.
Or you could grab one of its chocolate bars.
I will definitely try Rocky Mountain's Hot Chocolate with Bar (PHP200) next time. A fellow blogger described it as a harmonious blend of sweet and bitter chocolate. Now, that's a perfect drink this holiday season.
Other exclusive treats you might want to check out when visiting their Molito branch are their Chocolate Lava Cake and Brownie Ala Mode, Signature Triple Chocolate Soft Serve (PHP180) and savory treats like sandwiches and pies to go with your drinks.

I might not be able to visit its South branch anytime soon but I'm so glad that they have branches in Shangri-La Plaza, SM Megamall and U.P. Town Center. I'll swing by again before Christmas for more s'mores!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is located at Molito Complex, Alabang. It is also available in Shangri-La Mall, SM Megamall and U.P. Town Center.
