Southern Chronicles: B Hotel Alabang

I've been curious about B Hotel ever since I've dined in its Quezon City branch a few months ago. The quite under the radar hotel chain by Bellevue delighted me with its delectable dishes and I got excited when I got an invitation to attend the menu reveal of its Alabang counterpart (which I will blog separately). It may have been a crazy long travel given the Manila traffic, but I decided that it must be worth the trip.

Hello, B Hotel Alabang.
I got to the hotel a bit past 5, quite late from my target of 4 p.m., an hour past check in time.
After a very efficient check-in, I was on my way to the standard room (PHP2,700) which I shared with a fellow food enthusiast.
My room was located on the 9th floor giving a good view of the Alabang business district.
It has the basics down such as comfortable beds, clean linens, well-functioning air conditioning unit, ample bathroom and the like.
There's also complimentary water and coffee by the room bar.
As well as bedroom slippers.
If you have some important items with you, you can leave it inside the room safe.
I enjoyed my shower as the water pressure was perfect. It also had the complete set of toiletries to make it as pleasant as possible. It would have been better though if there was a hair dryer available. I also noticed that the shower door does not close that well but it was fine as the water did not get the bathroom mat wet.
The breakfast spread was limited. It didn't have a lot of options but it had the classics like sausages, corned beef and the delightful danggit.
There's also an egg station where you could have your eggs cooked the way you like it.
I had to leave at 9 a.m. as I had a scheduled meeting that same morning in Rockwell. I availed of B Hotel's hassle-free shuttle service that could drop guests anywhere within the Alabang business district. I requested to get dropped off at Alabang Town Center where I could take the amazing P2P bus back to Makati.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. B Hotel Alabang had the basics done right. Though lacking in other amenities like pool and gym (you could take the shuttle service to Bellevue for free to use its amenities instead), this is a decent hotel to stay in for an overnight stay. But I'd recommend its Quezon City branch more as it is newer and its interiors has more personality.

B Hotel Alabang is located at 2107 Prime St., Madrigal Business Park Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa. You may book via http://www.bhotelalabang.com. For inquiries, contact them at +632 828 8181.
