I’ve heard of Galileo
Enoteca from my good friend D and she kept on praising its food. I believed her
as the place has been recognized by several food magazines and it is also part
of the top 10 Italian restaurants in the Metro. It was rather funny though that
my visit to this place was not planned at all.
V and I were supposed
to visit this Italian restaurant in San Rafael, Kapitolyo but I just can’t find
it. I kept asking V if he was sure and after searching in vain, we finally
agreed to eat somewhere else. And V recommended Galileo Enoteca Deli.
The place is in a rather dark street but once inside, the restaurant is charming. It somehow reminded me of C’ Italian Restaurant and Poco Deli combined.

After much thought on which salmon dish to order, we finally went with Tutta Carne (PHP480) and Panfried Salmon (PHP450).
While waiting, we munched on the complimentary bread.
Soon, the pizza and salmon were served.
Honestly, I’m not a
fan of thin crust pizza but I really enjoyed this one. Topped with Pomodoro,
ham, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and mozzarella, it was flavorful yet not
overwhelming. I think I managed to eat two to three slices.
The salmon, despite its appearance, wasn’t as flakey as I thought. The meat was still juicy and tender. I loved the sweet and tangy taste of the honey balsamic vinaigrette and the dish went really well with the buttered spinach. I was a bit hesitant at first with this dish as I prefer my salmon baked or steamed but I was so glad to order this. Thank you, V for letting me choose which dish to order.
I will definitely visit again and probably try their dessert too.

Galileo Enoteca Deli is
located at 80 Malinao St. Mandaluyong City.
Once you enter the Kapitolyo gate, turn left right away and turn right on the first street. That's how you go to the Italian restaurant along San Rafael Kapitolyo :)
