Truedan: A Fresher Way to Enjoy your Milk Tea

With the average consumption to be 4-5 cups of milk tea per month, it's not surprising for new foreign and local brands to open left and right. And my weak will to go milk tea-free this 2020 was obliterated when I spotted Truedan.

Hello, Truedan
Truedan is no newbie in the milk tea business. With a decade of expertise, it has been popular in Taiwan for its use of fresh ingredients. It was even awarded 2-star Anti Additive by the Anti Additive Association.
Though backed up with 10 years of being in the business, I've never heard of this brand before. I only got to know about it when someone posted it in the foodie community, Let's Eat Pare. I immediately had the impression that this brand offers expensive drinks when I discovered that its Taiwanese Fruit Tea is priced at PHP220.
It must be special if it was priced that much, right? I was so curious so I went to find out myself.
The place was rather empty at 2 p.m. on a weekday. And it was a good thing as I got to admire the beautiful origami tables in the middle!
I went with Taiwanese Fruit Tea (PHP220) and Brown Sugar Bubble with Milk (PHP140, medium | PHP170, large).
The Taiwanese Fruit Tea had lots of fruit slices--from apples to oranges to lemons. However, I found the taste to be too close to other milk tea brands' versions priced half of Truedan's. Don't get me wrong. It was good, but it failed to differentiate itself to justify its premium price.
Brown Sugar Bubble with Milk though was great! I had mine at half sugar level and I didn't find it too sweet. And the pearls were nothing short of glorious as it had that perfect chew!
I would go back for more of its brown sugar drinks and perhaps try its Thai Style Milk Tea next time.

Truedan is located at 3rd Floor, One Bonifacio High Street, 28th Street Corner 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
