Figaro and Tien Ma's Now Deliver its Crowd Favorites

Being stuck at home for months may not be the ideal vacation of many. But it's not all that bad considering many brands are launching its delivery service and mouthwatering stay-at-home menu. And one new player in the food delivery service is The Figaro Group's Figaro and Tien Ma's. 

Hello, Figaro and Tien Ma's!

Surprised that these two crowd favorites are under the same umbrella? I was.

I used to frequent Figaro a lot back in college as I'd always go to Shangri-La or Megamall after class. I'd get its delectable Four Cheese Pizza or one of its filling sandwiches and pair it with its brewed iced tea. The habit stayed till my Summit Media days as Figaro had a branch conveniently located at our office lobby. 

Tien Ma's pre-cooked items are in plastic microwavable containers that you can just heat and eat!

On the other hand, I've never got to visit any of Tien Ma's branches. But I heard from several foodie friends that Tien Ma's Xiao Long Bao and Three Cup Chicken are pretty good. And I would have never thought that I'd finally get to try its well-loved food during Manila's Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). It also felt like a happy reunion when I was treated to some of Figaro's bestselling snacks. 

Tien Ma's crowd favorite Xiao Long Bao is not part of its delivery menu but several of its top-selling products are. I chose to try its Three-Cup Chicken (PHP435), Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet (PHP475), Fish Fillet in Black Beans Sauce (PHP435), Stir-fried Beef with Broccoli (PHP440) and Siopao Asado (PHP250, 4 pieces). 

The Three-Cup Chicken, cooked with sesame oil, rice wine, and soy sauce, has a rich flavor and sweet aroma perfect with rice. Since it was simmered in a clay pot, expect the meat to be succulent in every bite. 

I'm a fan of sweet and sour dishes and Tien Ma's version with its fish fillet did not disappoint. The sauce was thick which I love with sweet and sour. 

If you want something more on the savory side yet prefer to stick with seafood, Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce is a good option. There's also Seafood Fried Noodles (PHP399).

I thoroughly enjoyed the Stir-fried Beef with Broccoli. Tender and flavorful beef strips cooked in oyster sauce topped with fresh broccoli, what's not to love? Make sure to have this with a piping hot bowl of rice!

I saved the Sioapo Asado for merienda. But I could already tell that I'll probably end up with having two. 

I couldn't resist Figaro's treats though and had a bite of Trio de Queso Ensaymada (PHP300). It was and still is one of the best in town! Fluffy, cheesy and so good!

Chocolate Lava-Filled Muffins (PHP340, 4 pieces | PHP480, 6 pieces) is best when served hot. Make sure to pop it in the oven before digging in to fully enjoy this chocolatey goodness. 

I also grabbed a bag of Figaro's cute Ciabatta Pan de Sal (PHP70, 10 pieces) for breakfast the next day. I can't wait to have this with my favorite jam or spread and a cup of hot cocoa.

And if you're just like me who has to go to work now, you'd love Figaro's Gourmet Meal Box. Each bento box is only PHP100 and it comes with one viand and rice. I got Breaded Chicken Kare-Kare, Roasted Pork, and Pork Sisig. 

My favorite was the kare-kare which had that thick and peanut-y sauce! I would order this again!
