Hello, The Body Shop.
The Body Shop has been my go to shop back when I was in high school. It was also the first make up brand I bought as it has this tea tree line that saved me from all those nasty blemishes. And fast forward to 2019, I'm still a loyal fan of The Body Shop but now focuses more on its skin care line (and the perfect perfumes especially for Manila's humid weather).
For this month of June, The Body Shop Philippines highlights two excellent skin care products namely Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Clay Wash (PHP695) and Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Mask (PHP1,195). Both bring spa treatment wherever you are!
I was excited to try the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Clay Wash as I'm a big user of anything with charcoal as I believe that it's an effective cleaning agent. And it's true with this wash.
I love its instant lathering effect and how soft and silky it feels while washing my face. It smells great too! It has that lovely eucalyptus tea leaf smell which I adore. And I was giddy to know that it also contains tea tree oil which does not only help cleanse but also lighten blemishes! One more thing great about this wash is how you feel extra clean yet not dried out. In fact, it leaves your skin quite mattified, as if you just powdered.
The Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Mask is like a god-sent product. It combines two of my favorites-- exfoliating mask and coffee!
I know that coffee is a great product to help reduce those extra flabs but turns out that it also work on beating puffiness. Its invigorating smell also help awaken our senses and even our skin!
And you could never mistake this product to be made with anything else as the strong aroma of coffee fills the room as soon as you open the bottle. The thick textured mask smelled so good that it almost convinced me to have a taste of it.
It was not messy at all to put the mask on as it was really thick and stays in place. There was no dripping at all. I accidentally put some on the white towel but it got off as soon as the stained part hit running water.
I rinsed off the mask after 7 minutes (halfway of what the bottle recommends which is 5-10 minutes) and it left my skin so soft and quite radiant. Just so you know, I hardly say these things to my skin and when I do, I really mean it.
I think I just found new staples in my skin care regimen!
