Hello, ChawadiCup.
ChawadiCup is a local concept inspired by the various fragrant teas of Thailand.
With focus on authentic Thai tea and fruit teas, ChawadiCup offers a refreshing range of drinks quite different from milk tea shops patterned after the Taiwanese boba.
I went for the bestselling Cha Yen (PHP108) and ChawadiCup Green Milk Tea (PHP108). Both drinks do not come with sinkers so I added pearls (PHP20) for that chewy bite. The server also agreed to have my add on split to the two drinks.
Unlike most milk tea shops, ChawadiCup only had one server when I dropped by. Service was fast though as there was only one customer before me. I also liked that the staff was helpful to first-time customers.
Cha Yen had that pronounced brewed black tea blended with condensed milk. It was a beautiful balance of bitter and sweet flavors. I also liked that the pearls were chewy.
ChawadiCup Green Milk Tea was good too. But I found the green tea taste a bit weak and masked by milk and sweetener.
Maybe I should have stuck with the Cheesy Watermelon drink which was recommended to me. But I still find the combination odd.
