First Bite: AG New World Manila Bay's Market Cafe

I rarely visit the side of Manila Bay. I think I could still count with one hand how many times I've been in the area in the past decade. But I think I found a good reason to drop by more often.

Hello, Market Cafe.
Market Cafe has been around back when AG New World Manila Bay was still Hyatt Hotel. Its mouthwatering buffet spread has pleased countless foodies and travelers that have made the restaurant a popular destination

It was my first time to visit Market Cafe but reading all the positive reviews about this place definitely shoot up my expectations.
Located at the 3rd floor of the hotel, one could easily spot Market Cafe which is located very near the lifts.

This buffet restaurant offers 7 stations namely--Western, Japanese, Chinese, Antipasti, Salads, Seafood and Desserts.
I went crazy with the cheese station which offers a bunch of superb cheeses. I also love that they have honey to go with the cheeses and cold cuts too! No photos though as I was too focused on trying each and every kind of cheese.

The Western selection seems to be a bit limited. There's some roasts and baby back ribs which were both great.
Kids would enjoy chicken and waffles!
The Chinese station offers classics like Peking Duck and Char Siew
Grouper is also part of the menu!
Do try its noodles as well.
I also loved the Japanese station which offered various sashimi and maki
There's tempura for picky eaters.
They also serve teppanyaki using its wide array of seafood.

And speaking of seafood, there is also a dedicated station for Market Cafe's fresh catch! Feast on clams, prawns, mussels and crabs. You can also have it cooked the way you want it. Just ask one of the staff or chefs for assistance.
Make sure to save space for dessert as the sweet treats here at Market Cafe are awesome!
Cakes, tarts, pies, ice cream, you name it, Market Cafe has it and made it well!

They even have Filipino favorites like halo-halo and kakanin like sapin-sapin.
Or have fun with making your own doughnuts!
Do not leave Market Cafe without trying its ice cream. I love its Salted Caramel! One of my companions had it on top of her bread pudding and went to foodie heaven! I'll definitely try that next time.
Market Cafe's lunch buffet may come with a steep price of PHP2,200+ but this already comes with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks like iced tea. And they don't just serve the typical iced tea. Market Cafe has interesting flavors like guava which is so good!

And despite lacking steaks in the menu, its fresh seafood and live stations make up for it, allowing guests to enjoy their favorites based on their preferences.
Rates: Breakfast (PHP2,100+), Lunch (PHP2,200+, Mondays to Saturdays | PHP2,700, Sundays), Dinner (PHP2,400, Mondays-Thursdays | PHP2,700, Fridays to Sundays), PHP900 for kids

Market Cafe is located at 3rd Floor, AG New World Manila Bay Hotel, 1588 Pedro Gil Corner M.H. Del Pilar Street, Malate, Manila
