Korean BBQ has become a staple in our diet that we couldn't help crave for it during the lockdown. From its mouthwatering premium, a la carte meats to bang-for-the-buck eat all you can deals, just the thought of indulging in this flavorful feast is enough to make many Korean BBQ fans drool. And I'm so glad that my favorite Korean BBQ joint decided to offer its bestselling meats for delivery.
Hello, Happyfoods!
Happyfoods is the company behind popular Korean BBQ restaurants Sariwon, Soban, and Sibyullee. I have been a fan of these three brands for years. And this is the only restaurant group that made me appreciate kimchi.

Geonbae Offers Unlimited Korean and Japanese Favorites
The charm of unlimited meat is undeniably strong. It's so attractive that numerous Korean BBQ chains opened these past years. There are those priced unbelievably affordable while others market its brands as premium. The newer K-BBQ stores made things more interesting by offering the best of Korean and Japanese cuisines. And I heard that one of the best places to get your Seoul and Tokyo favorites is Geonbae.
Hello, Geonbae.
Geonbae is a modern Korean BBQ restaurant that features an extensive menu of beef, pork, and chicken. The overwhelming selection of barbecue meats is paired with an equally long list of side dishes featuring the likes of japchae, mandu, tteokbokki, ramyeon, rolls and steamed egg aside from the usual kimchi and pickled radish.

Gogiya Korean Barbecue Restaurant: A Korean BBQ and Sushi Restaurant
Korean BBQ joints are literally everywhere. And with most offering unlimited meats, choosing a place for a samgyupsal meal could be a daunting task. More often than not, I end up going to one of my favorite Korean restaurants. But I'm also down to try something new, especially if it offers more than your usual Korean fare. So when I heard that Gogiya offers some Japanese classics too, I was in!
Hello, Gogiya Korean Barbecue Restaurant.
Gogiya is a new addition to the long list of Korean restaurants that opened last year. But it is definitely more than just your typical Korean BBQ restaurant.

Restaurant Love: Sibyullee
The boom of Korean BBQ joints in the Metro made deciding on where to grab your unli meat fix a daunting task. I've seen several restaurants offering tempting prices but I couldn't help but think of the quality of meat they serve to at least break even. But one establishment proved that you can have a quality meat feast without breaking the piggy bank.
Hello, Sibyullee.
Sibyullee has been known for its scrumptious cheese platters when it opened a few years back. It was a hip place that offers great tasting casual Korean dishes and it easily gained following and patrons. And many were thrilled when it rebranded as an unli Korean BBQ joint.

First Bite: Wagyupsal
We can't deny that Korean culture and cuisine have seamlessly assimilated with ours these past years. With more and more of us loving Korean shows, music and food, it's not surprising to see pockets of Korea Town in almost every city. And just when we thought we've had too much of Korean BBQ, the newest joint in town serves wagyu!
Hello, Wagyupsal.
Wagyupsal opened a few months ago in the foodie haven Kapitolyo.

First Bite: Dokkebi Korean BBQ
The Korean food scene in Quezon City is insane. Maginhawa alone has Korean food joints left and right. Same is true in Banawe where the famous Samgyupsalamat has a branch and other players like Seoulgyupsal and Mokja can be found. Even Romantic Baboy is opening soon in the area. And one new player in town is Dokkebi Korean BBQ.
Hello, Dokkebi Korean BBQ.
Located along N.S. Amoranto, you'd easily spot Dokkebi with its big signage and corner location. It is also on Waze so it won't be hard to find this new samgyupsal place.

Soban Launches its Meatiest Set Ever!
The insane number of Korean BBQ places is enough proof to prove that we are not just hooked with KDrama or those catchy K-Pop songs. Most of us are also in love with its mouthwatering dishes, especially Korean BBQ. Though several restaurants offer tempting promotions, only a few stood out in terms of taste. And one of my favorites is Soban K-Town Grill.
Hello, Soban K-Town Grill.
Soban is one of the few restaurants I fell in love with at first bite. Its delightful Korean BBQ meats were well-curated and each one was fresh, tender and flavorful. Aside from that, Soban also offers great kimchi fries and Dak Ganjeong (Korean Fried Chicken) among others.

Love at First Bite: Kiwa Korean Grill Dining
It was a crazy week full of eating with R's family. We went to several fancy restaurants and one of which is this Korean restaurant in Solaire Resort & Casino. I have never been to Solaire but I recall making a pitch for the high end establishment when I was still with the publishing business so I know that this pale is pretty grand.
The menu of Kiwa is very limited. There are only five courses to choose from which comes with sashimi and appetizer assortment, Korean pancakes, Stir-fried Glass Noodles (Chapchae), Spicy Tofu Soup and Dessert. You also have to order in pairs if you plan to get this.
We decided to go with Saenggalbi but Rib Eye version (PHP3,200), Bulgogi (PHP2,800), Grilled Samgyupsal (PHP2,000) and Yangnyumgalbi (PHP3,000).
While waiting for the meats, the side dishes were served.
The sashimi assortment looked amazing and mouthwatering.
I first had a taste of the salmon cut and it was not as soft as I wanted. R told me that the reason why the texture was like that was because it was not sashimi but smoked salmon. No wonder.
The other seafood cuts were great! Tuna was lovely and the squid cuts had a nice chewy texture. I loved it!
Chapchae was pretty good too as it was not overly oily yet flavorful.
The Korean pancakes are your typical pancakes. If you are trying to watch your weight or save tummy space, you might want to skip this one.
Hello, Kiwa Korean Grill Dining!
This posh Korean restaurant is located in what seems to be a new section of Solaire as R could not remember this area before.
It opened just a few months ago and it has gained quite a following for those who are very particular with food. The place is beautiful and those who sit near the windows could enjoy the wonderful sunset view. (We reserved a private room though so we just took snapshots of the sunset before placing our orders.)The menu of Kiwa is very limited.
