Hello, Silantro!
It took us a long time before we decided to go with Silantro.
It’s the curse of having so many options.
One wants this place while another says the other. It was hard to reach a consensus.
Anyway, Silantro won.
I ordered the Completo
(PHP110) again with three choices of meat. This time, I went with beef, lengua and oxtail. We
also ordered nachos (PHP160) and J treated us Papi’s Fritas (PHP130). E and I also shared Silantro’s Paella Fajita Mix (PHP250).
First served was the Papi’s Fritas which reminded me of
Animal Fries of In-N-Out.
It was pretty tasty and filling. One order is great for
sharing for 4-6 people.
The nachos
were good too! The crispy chips were drowning in cheese! It was LOVE. (Though a
messy kind of love.)
Next served was my soft
tacos which was oozing with flavors. The bits of beef, lengua and oxtail
were soft
and savory. The shredded/chopped vegetables
added crunch to the dish. There was a time though where the flavors were too
overpowering and that’s why I started to munch on the…
Silantro Paella Fajita
Mix.
The serving of this dish is quite small and could only be
good for one unless you ordered other dishes. The mussels
were not as fresh but still good enough. The paella
itself was okay though of course, it was not at par with Calderon
or ArroZeria.
Then again, with PHP250, it wasn’t bad at all.
Too bad they were out of mojitos. I liked the mojitos of
Silantro.
