Overdoughs has been known not just for its beignets, loukoumades and cookie doughs but also for its strong support for the non-hearing community. Along with its sister dessert concept Elait, Overdoughs promotes inclusivity of its deaf employees. And just when we thought these two brands under Carvan Food Group, Inc. could not impress us any further, it took another step in making us utter 'wow'.
Hello, Overdoughs.
Overdoughs launched its newest product, OD Cookies last April and I got to sample all four flavors, The OD Chocolate Chip, Corn flake, Ube White and Choco Nutella. My favorite was The OD Chocolate Chip which they made more delicious with OD Choco Chunk! But this was not the only thing Overdoughs made better.

First Bite: Mo' Cookies
Call me a cookie monster but I can never say no to cookies. And when I get a whiff of the scent of freshly baked goodies, my eyes turn into hearts like a crazy in love lady. Such was the case when I spotted Mo Cookies by The Moment Group.
Hello, Mo' Cookies.
I've read countless happy comments on The Moment Group's popular cookies sold at Mess Hall and I was dying to grab hold of one or two. However, the insane Makati traffic kept getting in the way between me and these ginormous cookies. I guess I haven't reached the level of braving carmageddon just to satisfy my cookie craving.

First Bite: Overdough's OD Cookies
Elait's sister Overdoughs made us rediscover how fun doughnuts can be especially as snack inside the cinema. And while its beignets, loukoumades and cookie dough continue to tickle us pink, Overdoughs has something fresh out of the oven which will be hard to resist.
Hello, Overdoughs!

First Bite: Indulgence by Irene Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
I love all sorts of cookies--from the commercially produced ones to the gooey batches you get from home bakers. Lately, I've been obsessed with the latter and would often find myself grabbing a few at food fairs. And I was lucky to get my hands on some Indulgence by Irene cookies a few weeks back when I met the foodie couple Richard and Irene.
Hello, Indulgence by Irene.
Indulgence by Irene has been baking and delighting foodies for years now. Known for its delightful cheesecakes, Irene can definitely bake addictive cookies too!

First Bite: Doux PH
With Christmas fast approaching, we get busier than ever finding the perfect gifts for our family and friends. I've been through a lot of holiday shopping mayhem to remember and there is only one thing I got from it-- plan ahead or suffer. And after years of practice, I'm proud to say that I managed to cross out my entire list after a short call. How do I do it? By having a trusty supplier to provide me with delectable treats to give out to everyone. But one new baker I discovered is making me think if I should order more (for myself).

Second Bite: Melt Grilled Cheesery
I still remember how giddy I was when I first visited Melt Grilled Cheesery. With its menu filled with cheesy dishes, it was like I found (cheese) heaven in Uptown Mall. Everything we ordered were great too! It was love at first bite and I was so happy to share my discovery with my family and friends. But some of those who tried the place were not as ecstatic. *insert sad face here*
Hello, Melt Grilled Cheesery!
I managed to convince J and his girlfriend M to visit Melt with me after our pizza dinner. (Yes, I was a happy third wheel on their Friday night date.)
We easily managed to get a table as the place was not as full as its pizzeria neighbor.
We focused on the desserts as we just had dinner and went with Dulce de Lecheese (PHP285), Chocolate Chip Cheesecake (PHP215) and Dulce de Leche Cheesecake (PHP235 which was changed to PHP255 if I remember it correctly).
Service was prompt and house water was served in less than 5 minutes. We were also given a complimentary sandwich from the owners. They also spent time to chat with us and that was when I found out that their bread supplier is Artisan Emporium.

Convenience Store Find: Chips Delight Chocolate Chip Brittle Brownie
I love to snack…
a lot. I get so excited whenever I see new snacks in supermarket
or friendly convenience
stores. I have my fair share of cheap
thrills and pricey happy
tummy finds (which make me think THRICE before buying). And last month, I
discovered a new snack.
Well, technically, it isn’t new at all but the first brands that entered the market
aren’t that wallet friendly. Anyway, presenting…
Chips Delight Chocolate Chip Brittle Brownie
<3
I love
Chips Delight’s chocolate
chip
cookies.
I even find it better than Chips Ahoy. (But still, nothing can beat Famous
Amos).
Before you
jump for joy, this brittle brownie
of Chips Delight is not exactly as affordable
as its cookie
counterpart. I bought mine a bit over PHP80 at Family Mart. I tried looking for
it in supermarkets
but I couldn’t find it at all. *sad*
Nonetheless,
I get to save PHP50 when I buy this instead of its imported counterparts. And
the chocolatey
taste and loveable crunchy texture are there. I still think it’s a good buy. :)
