Who says you can't have your ramen to go? Well, a lot. Ramen joints refuse to have its delectable noodles for take out even if it's your own leftover. I've seen several customers who went ballistic and argued with the staff when they found out that they can't have their leftover noodles to go. Though I understand that the restaurant just want to ensure product quality, I feel that a simple warning would suffice and just let its customers have their half eaten noodles packed. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about it anymore. In fact, I can even have some Hakata-style ramen delivered!
Hello, Uma Uma.
Uma Uma has been quiet these past months while all other ramen joints have been launching new products here and there. Turns out Uma Uma has been brewing something cool for us. So, anyone up for ramen at home?

First Bite: Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
It has been a while since I last went to Greenhills.
I went crazy with the great tiangge finds. I even thought of hoarding stuff for
Christmas. But the tummy had another plan… to eat. And since F wanted ramen,
we went to Hokkaido Ramen Santouka.
Hello, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka!
The place was packed with hungry
diners when I arrived a bit past 1 p.m.. F and I had to wait for around 20
minutes before the server approached us if we’re okay with bar seats. Since we
were hungry, we said yes.
I ordered a regular Shio Ramen
(PHP345) with Komi-Tamago (PHP50)
and Kurobuta Gyoza (PHP240) while F
went for a bowl of Shoyu Ramen
(PHP345). Service was quick as it took them less than 10 minutes to serve our
food.

Fancy First Bite: Senju
I noticed that I hardly blogged last month and it wasn’t exactly because
I was busy with work (though I did get busier). I started to eat
out less. Yes, I have been eating out less and less these days. *cries* I usually
find myself stuck in a home-office-home (with lots of chores in between)
routine. But R wants to change it by inviting me to…
Senju.
Okay, I wasn’t able to take much
photos as I wanted to act less touristy given I was at Edsa
Shangri-La Hotel. I wanted to act… classy. (*insert canned laughter here*)
R and his parents took charge of
ordering the food and they chose a lot. They ordered Aburi Shake, Shake Sashimi
(PHP575), Uni (PHP325), Ebi Tempura (PHP505), Saba Shioyaki (PHP515), Unagi Maki Tamago (PHP325), Agedashi Tofu (PHP395), Crazy
Maki (PHP715), and Kuro Buta
Sirloin (PHP850).
Dinner started with a mouthwatering
appetizer… Gindara Teriyaki. The soft and sweet dish sure made me crave for more.
The shake
sashimi was delightful as well. The slices were just right and it had a
soft and smooth texture.
The unagi maki tamago
had a slightly sweet taste which complemented the salty freshwater eel.
