Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is no stranger to me. I've had it back in 2011 during one of my travels. Back then I wasn't too adventurous with food and didn't really like the idea of having my chocolate or caramel with a Granny Smith apple. Fast forward to 2017, I got acquainted with the chocolate wonderland again and discovered some treats that made me smile from ear to ear.
Hello, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Truffles the bear finally made it to the South. And it is the first thing you'll notice when you get inside Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Molito, Alabang.

Love at First Bite: Kumori's Apple Cheese Tarts
Kumori and I didn’t have a smooth relationship. I still recall my first visit which was love at first bite. Those Hanjuku cheese cakes were delectable and definitely worth lining up for. My second visit was great too with the delectable (but messy) krones. But my third visit where I had the raved cheese tarts was not as great as my first and second Kumori visits. Its improved version and its scrumptious matcha variant won me over though and I was crazy about Kumori again. And just when I thought I’m already a fan of Kumori, something just made me even more head over heels in love with it.
Hello, Kumori.
I got a sweet message from Kumori asking if they could send me some of their newest (and limited edition) apple cheese tarts in celebration of the opening of its Robinsons Place Manila branch. Of course I said yes and I counted the days till I got my delectable package.

First Sip: Sap Juicery
I have been pigging out like crazy for the past weeks and not working out helps keep the fats stored in undesirable places. And now that I now work closer to several malls, it'll be even harder not to eat out. Thanks to some stores that specialize in healthy and detox treats, I might be able to avoid a few pounds. *crosses fingers*
I have read about Sap these past months and it caught my interest as I have a thing for juices. (R makes fun of it though as he could not understand why I spend so much when I could just buy a fresh fruit and eat it as is.) I actually saw the Sap kiosk at SM Aura last year when I tried Yakitori One but I was in a hurry because I wasn't feeling well then. But I couldn't let it pass twice so when I had lunch at the kinda pricey food court, I got myself a bottle.
The server suggested that I get G1 (PHP185) which is a combination of pineapple, apple, kale, cucumber, spinach and organic cane. Since I'm a Sap newbie, I gave in.
After paying and getting my bottle, I noticed that there are cheaper drinks such as the organic cane and smoothies! Price difference was around PHP25-65! Some are even less than half the price of what I got. It made me feel a bit of regret not seeing it (and my wallet uttered "ouchie") but I just hoped that it tastes good and worth the price I paid.
Good news, it's actually a good drink. It was sweet and went well with my meal. Bad news, it was a bit too sweet (and it made me wonder if I'm really drinking something healthy). It is not an ideal drink when having desserts.
Overall, it was still an a-okay beverage. I'll probably try the other more affordable drinks next time.
Sap is located at Food on Four, 4th Floor, SM Aura Premier, McKinley Parkway, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Sap also has a branch opening soon in NAIA Terminal 3 across Wendy's.

Detox Time: Detoxify Bar
Just like most people,
I love to eat unhealthy stuff. (Chips, cakes,
ice
cream, chocolates,
pizza,
fries…
why are you soooo good???) But there are
times when I feel so guilty that I just have to cleanse myself. I still
remember the first time I did juice detox. It was not as hard as I thought but
it was still challenging. I avoided everyone with food and became anti-social
for a day. (Why yes, all of the people I know and talk with always have food.) It
was worth it though as I felt great after! Not really sure if it was
psychological given I spent quite a lot for 6 bottles of juice I could do
myself or if it really made me feel better. Anyway, I was convinced once again
to try it out and this time, I tried Detoxify Bar.
Hello, Detoxify Bar!
Detoxify Bar offers juice detox at a friendlier price compared to Juju Cleanse. Ordering was easier too as I called them up one afternoon to prepare my order for pick up that same night.

One day detox is composed of 5 bottles (versus 6 of Juju)
and you may mix and match the juices you want (though they also have sets).
Each bottle costs PHP220 but if you
get a detox set, you also get a thermal bag and two tea packs for an additional
PHP250.
I chose the Green
Vegan Detox, Minty Berry Detox, Lemon Detox, and two bottles of Red Vegan Detox.

Love at First Bite: K & L Café
I
get flattered every time I get an invite from an establishment to try their
food. It shows that they trust my blog and that they see me as an influencer. A
few weeks ago, I got an email from Karen and Loren, sisters behind Blushing
Cupcakes, inviting me to visit their newest venture, a restaurant named K & L Café along White
Plains, a few steps away from Pan
de Amerikana. After two weeks, I finally got to visit the quaint café.
Hello, K & L Café!
The place is extremely adorable! It
had a rustic and homey feel that I simply love. My eyes had a feast! J, the
architect, noticed the super sweet sign Karen and Loren prepared for me. It
sure made me feel so special! <3
While chatting with Karen and Loren,
I found out that they both studied in St. Paul College, Pasig and University of
Asia and the Pacific. They were my school mates in high school and college!
Small world!
They recommended the following: Maple Caramel Latte
(PHP105, hot | PHP125, cold), Famous
Strawberry Calamansi
(PHP95), Ultimate Red
Velvet Pancake
(PHP295), Daddy’s Bourbon American Ribs (PHP295), Ilocos Bagnet
with Tomato Salsa (PHP265), and Apple, Brie and Baguio Honey sandwich (PHP227).
First served were our drinks. I didn’t
get to try J’s drink as he didn’t offer. (Insert sad music here.)
