Salad was never a staple in a typical Filipino meal. It was often associated with diet and seen to be not as good as other savory dishes like fried chicken, bulalo, crispy pata and so on. But that was all in the past. Filipinos today are smarter consumers and understand the importance of greens in one's diet. And thanks to Go! Salads, it's so much easier to have a healthier lifestyle. Its promo this month makes it even more pocket-friendly too!
Hello, Go! Salads.
Go! Salads celebrates its 7th Year with a great treat for everyone! Grab your favorite Farm Fresh Salads for just PHP99 from March 13 to 17, 2020.

Sale Alert: H&M Anniversary Month-Long Sale
Remember when there was a big crowd in front of SM Megamalllast October 17? Yes, it was a year ago when traffic madness happened because of the opening of H&M Philippines.
Forgot why there was a long line just to shop? Well, H&M
was giving away several gift certificates for the first 100 or 200 customers
and a lot were hopeful to get one. (Though others say that those people who lined
up were paid to create buzz about the opening of the awaited retail fashion
brand. But that's another story.)
To celebrate its first anniversary in the Philippines,
H&M is treating its customers with a MONTH-LONG sale. Yes, a sale during
the whole month of October! Shop and buy several OOTD at 50% off.
See you there!
H&M branches are in SM Mega Fashion Hall, SM Makati, SM
City North EDSA, SM Fairview and Robinsons Manila.

Sale Alert! SuperSale Bazaar this March 2-4, 2012
Something very exciting is happening this weekend and I can’t wait for Saturday to come!
For the past few weeks, all I have been doing was eat, eat, and eat. Then I realized, I did not shop last month (and to think it was my birth month), except for those occasional food shopping and gift buying trips. I am not a shopaholic but I usually buy a new top or whatnot every month. I guess I prioritized my tummy last month (oh, how time flies) more than my desire to wear something new to work. (Yes, wearing something new, even if it’s just a clip, makes me feel, well, excited to go to work. *blush*)
I know that there’s a SuperSale Bazaar every March of the year but I was not expecting it to be early this year. I was so surprised when my officemate B handed me a flyer of my favorite bazaar stating that it is slated to happen this MARCH 2-4, 2012. That’s this weekend!

Bazaar Alert: Moonlit Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent
I could seriously feel the Christmas joy and my wallet’s sorrow now.
While walking to a mall near our office to buy some reading materials (needed for work), I suddenly remembered something… it’s the season to collect Starbucks stickers! I must sacrifice eating junk food and cut my chocolate allowance to save up for my daily Zen Tea/Black Tea and Christmas Frappuccino.
Also, I remembered that I saw something along EDSA that made my heart skip a beat… BAZAAR. Yes, as a proud bazaar stalker, this made me super happy. I missed the SuperSale Bazaar because I was not feeling well and it was raining hard but I will definitely not miss this one. I just can’t!
Wondering what bazaar I’m talking about? Look down.
*Bliss*
This will be my first time to visit this bazaar and I can’t wait to find new fashion favorites.
The Moonlit Bazaar is open from 12NN to 12MN on November 11-13, 2011, December 2- 4, 2011, and December 9-11, 2011.
See you there! :)

Food + Sale = Happiness!!!
I went to Mega Mall today to have lunch with some of my colleagues. For some reason (which I do not intend to share anymore here), I got stuck in Megamall for the next 3 hours. Tired from standing up and lugging with me a heavy bag, a certain signage brightened my day.
Food? Sale? Food Sale? Did Megamall just combined two of my favorite words? Why yes, yes it just did.
I immediately Googled what it is all about and found out that it really is a FOOD SALE. Several food establishments in Mega Mall will be having promos from September 23 to 25, 2011. That’s three days of sheer happiness for the tummy and the wallet. Here are some of the food establishments joining the sale that I am targeting:
-Dulcinea’s CHURROS ALL YOU CAN from 2PM to 5PM
-Mesa’s 50% off on ALL DESSERTS
-Red Mango’s BUY 2 TAKE 1 SPECIAL
I don’t really know how I’ll manage an eat-all-you-can samgyeopsal (Korean Pork Belly) on the 24th and this but this "food sale" is just so irresistible!

An Early Christmas Shopping
...will only mean one thing... my wallet will be empty earlier than expected. Nonetheless, I am still thrilled to say that my favorite bazaar is scheduled to be back… and bigger… this November 4-6, 2011!!!
I’m sure that all bazaar lovers and fashionistas are familiar with the SuperSale Bazaar. This time though, instead of the Rockwell Tent or Rockwell, The Grove, they will hold it at the World Trade Center and it is bound to be a big event piggy banks will need to prepare for.

| So, should I be grumpy everyday to save up? |
This time though, the organizers made it more interesting for concessionaires by coming up with a Facebook contest where the online flier (posted by the concessionaire) with the most likes (from their fans or customers) gets a free booth. Yes, a free booth plus a PHP5000 worth of gift certificate from its partners (the second and third highest also get discounts and freebies from the organizers). The concept is quite similar to Rockwell Bazaar’s previous event called In Search for The Next Big Thing where concessionaires competed to get the votes of the shoppers. These contests of Rockwell Bazaar and SuperSale are brilliant as not only do these attract concessionaires, it encourages the sellers to really promote the events to win. Anyway, enough of this SuperSale contest I can’t even join.

I'm also looking forward to see Sunday's Best and Posh Pocket Shoes.
I don’t recall the names of the other stores I loved (I just remember what they sell. There’s this one store with cute vintage eye glasses, a Korean dress shop, a store that sells cheap sheer tops and loose tops--good for food trips, and the stall that sells cute accessories). I just have one wish… I hope that the aisles will be wider and each booth will be bigger so that it could accommodate more customers.
To all bazaar stalkers like me, see you on November 5! (I hope I’m no longer sleeping during the day this time and that I have money left from my dessert funds for The Cheesecake Factory.)

Attack of the Fitness Nagger
For some reason, I think that the Fitness Nagger is following me.
It all started way back in 2009 when I first joined St. Paul College, Pasig or SPCP’s Family Fun Run. To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it at all. The fact that I was running out of air, it removed the fun out of the picture. (Okay, that was extremely corny.) But it inspired me to become more fit because for a 3.7 K run, I reached the finish line after 54 minutes whereas the best runners finished their 5K run in less than 20 minutes. (Shame!!!) And yes, some grandparents had a better time. How did they do it?
The next run I participated was… this year. Apparently, I wasn’t very inspired to become fit. But hey, I did a lot of walking for 5 months when I stayed in Korea. It was same place, same distance—SPCP’s Family Fun Run 2011. It was still tiring… and I got slower! I finished the race after an hour and four minutes.
Since I felt that I wanted to become more athletic, I decided to “upgrade” and joined the 5K run during the Good Housekeeping Family Fun Run (which was also an event for the latest magazine Good Dog—a dog magazine). I saw several colleagues during the run so I was really shy to do speed walking. It was a great motivation though as I finished the race under an hour (which was still a terrible record but loved the idea that I improved and broke my personal lame record).
That run made me desire to be fit again thus I began to look for running shoes with a friend. I was pretty concerned with the support and cushion as I have weak knees (wonder if it’s due to too much eating). In the end, my friend who did not plan to run at all was the one who went home with a paper bag with running shoes and I went home with a tummy full of chocolates, other sweets, and Chinese food. FAIL.
Finally, another “motivation” appeared (via email this time)…
Hmm… should I go?
Shopaholic me: Go!!! Can’t you read? It mentioned S-A-L-E
Glutton me: Why spend it on shoes when you can buy lots of munchies instead? Let's go explore Makati instead!!!

Expired Products for Sale?!?
We love Japanese food and we looooove Japanese products thus when I saw Choco Crisps in a Japanese restaurant/store, I was thrilled. Well, to make the story short, I didn’t buy it because I find it overpriced at P245. Is it because it is in Powerplant? (Clue!!!)
Anyway, I decided to check the other products hoping for it to be “reasonably” priced. I was about to jump for joy when I saw Nissin Cup Noodles (the original one in Styrofoam containers) priced at P66. It is P95 in supermarkets and P92 in S&R so I thought that it was a pretty good deal.
But before buying food products, I often check the expiry date just to be sure and to my surprise, the cup noodles were already expired. Below was the flow of my conversation with the sales person in charge:
Me: Hey, the cup noodles are already expired!
Sales lady: That’s why it’s on sale.
Me: Don’t you think this is actually dangerous??? (Not to mention illegal?)
Sales lady: We checked with the manufacturer and they said that it’s still okay for consumption.
My question now is, what is the purpose of “BEST BEFORE DATE” then if it is actually flexible? I know that there is a rule that stores need to pull out near expiry products days before it actually expire because some consumers still do not have the habit of reading the expiry date. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL RISK OF FOOD POISONING. I do not find this okay at all. To my disappointment, I wasn’t even able to take a picture as “evidence”. I really loved the restaurant and now, I am not so sure if I want to go back. Since they openly sell EXPIRED products, there is a possibility that they use expired ingredients in the kitchen since “it’s okay”.
Friends, please make sure that you read the expiry date before purchasing. Yes, there are some very enticing deals here and there but also remember that there could be a “catch” on why it is being offered as such.
