We've all heard the saying "Time is Gold" when we were younger. But it was only a few years back when I got a better understanding of what it truly meant. With the feeling that 24 hours a day not enough to have things done, I tried so many hacks to make myself more efficient. But I still end up rushing doing this and that, especially getting from point A to point B. Gone are the days of Friday Traffic Mayhem as it is now happening daily. It’s getting worse and worse. And when you finally reach your destination… SURPRISE, party in the parking lot! But I am so thankful for cab apps like Uber and GrabTaxi for making it more bearable living in the city.

Lately, I noticed that Uber’s fare is cheaper than GrabTaxi’s (or even a normal cab’s). And to make things even better, I got an email from Uber that they are slashing 50% off my next 7 rides until July 26! Yes, SEVEN rides!

I was thrilled and the first thing that came to mind was, “Where should I go?”

But nope… too busy. Then again, it did help me save the company some money when I went out for a meeting.

My fares from Taguig to Makait and back were just PHP55 and PHP51 versus the usual PHP120! Oh yeaaaaah!

I also went to SM Aura to buy some bed sheets (duvet covers are 50% at Living Well!) and with surcharge, I just paid PHP50.

At first, I thought that all Uber users get the same deal but M just got 20% off and K doesn’t even have any discount. So you better check your email first before booking.

Lucky Day: Free Ride c/o GrabTaxi

Going to places in Manila can be tough. Having a car helps but traffic will always be another issue. If you commute, it’s even harder. And since I’m a little paranoid, especially at night, safety has always been a concern of mine hence I do not mind paying a bit more as long as I’m sure that I’ll get home safe. This is why I am so in love with the apps GrabTaxi and Uber.

Okay, I have to admit; I used to hate GrabTaxi.  There were instances when I finally got a cab and then the driver does not show up. And when I try to get in touch with the driver, he would reason out that he got another passenger or what-have-you. WHAT THE?!

This is the reason why I started using Uber and I was pretty happy with it. The surcharge though was a turnoff. I once paid around PHP400 for a usual PHP120 ride. Anyway, I’m still happy with Uber.

But today, GrabTaxi made me really happy. I got to ride its Sexy Fox cab.

The best part was it was a FREE RIDE!

Halloween Photoshoot 101

It’s almost Halloween again. Halloween lovers must be busy looking for a last-minute costumes and accessories for the party/ies they will be attending. Well, as a person who hardly attends parties, I prefer to celebrate Halloween with a mini photo shoot.

 It has been a tradition for me and my sister to have a mini Halloween photo shoot to celebrate the eerie day. We’d wear our creepiest outfits and posed in the most horrific way. And after a few edits here and there, off it goes to social media.

But how do we come up with Halloween-themed photos?

It all depends on the filters, outfit and location. :)
