First Bite: Bliss Bowls
My Instagram feed was filled with beautiful bowls of mouthwatering bowled treats for weeks and I could not help get curious by it. Upon quick research, I found out that these Instagram worthy treats are from Bliss Bowls, a new player in SM Megamall that offers healthy smoothies in a bowl.

First Bite: Made Nice Supper Club
I have been an active looloo user for over a year now and it never seems to get old. I just love the looloo community and I truly enjoy listening to each and everyone’s food and adventure stories. Coming from different walks of life, each member are like spices and herbs that make the community a lot more interesting. And what’s a fun community without regular meet ups, or in our case, eat ups? Our resident PRO, J, arranged a looloo holiday dinner open to all active reviewers and it sure was a festive one! Our venue? The new restaurant across Your Local called Made Nice Supper Club.
Hello, Made Nice Supper Club!
It could be challenging to spot this place if you have no clue where it is along the foodie Esteban street. It is across Your Local and beside a bridal store. With its minimalist MN signage, you have to remember those two landmarks to avoid missing it, as some of us did.

First Sip: Yellow Tree Coffee and Tea
With all my friends dieting or hibernating due to the crazy summer heat, I hardly go on food trips myself. *cries* But I knew I was destined to get fatter when the food gods paved the way for me to meet some fun looloo-ers. I heard them planning a Quezon City (Tomas Morato) food trip and I couldn’t help but ask if I could tag along. And since everyone in looloo is friendly, they said yes. Yay!
The first stop of the Quezon City food trip was the adorable The Bunny Baker. I was dying to visit this place as the place looks so pretty and I heard that the sweets are great! But I woke up a bit late and R insisted to drop me to the place. It took a bit long and I missed the first stop and just went straight to the second stop which was…
Yellow Tree Coffee and Tea.
The coffee shop was quite small and could only comfortably fit around 15 guests. The menu is similar to most cafĂ©/milk tea places. Since I couldn’t decide on what I want, I asked for the server’s suggestion. She recommended her personal blend of coffee, bananas and milk. Since I never had a coffee banana drink as the fruit is usually paired with chocolate or peanut butter, I gave it a go. A medium cup costs PHP115.
After a short while, my drink arrived and it was actually a frappe which I was not really feeling to drink that day. Oh well.
But I was delighted at first sip. It had a nice light taste of coffee and banana. It was not exactly thirst quenching but it was refreshing enough. I tried to avoid the whipped cream as I was never fond of this foamy topping.

Restaurant Love: Happy Cream Puff
I have a few favorite places that I go to
whenever I’m lazy, tired or just wanted to have a quick break. One of which is
Happy Cream Puff at Shangri-La
Plaza Mall’s East Wing. (Wow, that’s a mouthful!) The place is not as
crowded as Starbucks
and they have free wi-fi (which fails me at times). And since they also serve
savory dishes, it’s one of my top choices when I’m hungry and need food ASAP.
It was
already 4 p.m. when we got to Shangri-La
and with no food in our bellies; we were starting to get cranky. My sister and I
decided to go to Happy Cream Puff for a quick meal before doing other errands.
Konnichiwa, Happy
Cream Puff!
This time around,
I decided to go for the Nagoya Spaghetti
(PHP230) while my sister ordered the Salisbury
steak. We also got Banana Nama Éclair
(PHP105) for dessert.
For some
reason, I was so addicted to spaghetti that week. Just the day before, I also
had spaghetti. I felt like I was possessed by Hetty Spaghetti. Anyway…

Restaurant Discovery: Hillcrest Wellness Café
Since we were already in the area, V and I opted to
walk around Teachers Village and look for an interesting place to have dessert
after a filling meal thanks to Cocina Juan. After a short walk, V noticed a
coffee shop with a bookshelf and that attracted him like a fly to light. So, we
found our dessert place.
Hello, Hillcrest Wellness Café.
It has a modest café set up that gives an impression of
a school lounge of some sort. The menu is quite simple too but the Moringaccino
(PHP120) sure made me curious. Moringa with cappuccino? I’ve never heard of
that before. And so, I just have to order that one. V, as a person who doesn’t
drink coffee (*gasp* I know!), opted for Strawberry Banana Wellness Shake
(PHP145). We also ordered a Banana Mango crepe (PHP185). It was a good thing
that they have Moringaccino to distract me as the person manning the counter
could not answer any of my questions except which one is their bestseller.
My coffee tasted a bit like matcha. It had a strong “green”
taste. It tasted healthy though so I didn’t find finishing the cup sinful.

I'M IN LOVE: Minions of Despicable Me
It has been a while
since I last bought a Happy Meal. I believe they were giving out Rise of the
Guardians toys then (and I got an elf). I never thought of wanting to complete
a collection again till…
BA BA BA BABANANA BA BA BA BABANANA NA NA NA
AHH POTATO NA AH AH BANANA…
Yes, that song! Those cute yellow minions captured my heart ever since I
saw them on the big screen helping out Gru to be the best villain ever.
