First Bite: Raging Bull
I was so curious about Raging Bull ever since A mentioned it during our lunch at Canton Road. As a steak lover, I just have to pay the restaurant a visit. And two weeks later, I finally did. Thanks to Zomato!

First Bite: Lemuria
R wanted to bring me to this fancy place that he finds really beautiful. Luckily, we scored a Deal Grocer promo for its six course degustation at PHP1,450 per head. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Hello, Lemuria!
I made a reservation for two at 6 p.m. one Sunday and we got there a bit past 6 as traffic was a bit crazy in Quezon City.
We were greeted by one of the staff in butler outfit and assisted R with parking. When we step foot inside Lemuria, I was awed by the restaurant’s well tended garden and picturesque interiors.
We were the only diners when we arrived. It was like R reserved the whole place for us. <3
We were served some complimentary bread with butter and balsamic vinegar to start our meal.
There were two kinds of bread, both warm and fragrant. I liked the darker one with nuts as it was moist and way softer. The pale coloured bread was rather tough.
After a few minutes, we were given our first course, the Amuse Bouche, which is basically cherry tomato with cheese.
The serving size was too small for it to leave a lasting impression. I totally forgot about it when I slurped the next dish which was the Caramelized Cabbage Soup with Lardoons and Sour Cream.
The soup reminded me of some Chinese cabbage soup, only creamier and a tinge of sourness.

Steak Night: Melo's Home of Certified Angus Beef
It
has been months since I purchased my Deal Grocer vouchers for Melo’s Foie Gras
and Steak Set and finally, R and I were able to use it one Friday.
Hello,
Melo’s.
I
don’t exactly remember the last time I dined in Melo’s but it must have been
more than a decade ago. All I know is that this is one of the established steak
places in Manila. So when I saw a good deal in Deal Grocer, I nabbed the chance
to enjoy a foie gras and steak set for only PHP999.
I
made a reservation for two at 7 p.m. and when I got there 10 minutes earlier,
the place was empty. Well, there was a table occupied outside but there were no
other diners around. To think that it was Friday and pay day, it made me
realize why Melo’s was offering this irresistible deal.
I
asked the server to prepare our steaks 15 minutes before R arrives. While
waiting, I was given some soft buns and butter.

Restaurant Love: House of Wagyu Stone Grill
There was a time when I got so hooked to
Groupon sites. I go crazy over the discounts and I end up with coupons or
gadgets I want to believe I really need. One of the good deals I recently
bought was vouchers for the House of Wagyu Stone Grill.
Hello, House of Wagyu Stone Grill!
We opted to
claim our vouchers at the Eastwood branch and the place wasn’t packed at all.
There were only about two other tables occupied when we arrived. We got a table
near the window which V thought to be a good spot.
As soon as I
handed my vouchers, our wait basket and soup were served.
The soup was
served warm and it was creamy yet not that heavy as the serving was just right.
V though munched on so much bread.
The salad’s
serving was pretty small as well but it was just right as the main course was
the highlight of the meal.
Finally, the
main star—a Grade 8 tenderloin steak on a stone grill—arrived. It was lightly
seasoned with salt and pepper with mashed potatoes and a few vegetables on the
side.
