Daily's Diet: Eating Healthy Made Easy

I have a love and hate relationship with my postpartum body. I love how I can naturally nourish Sam with my breastmilk. But my intense dedication to providing as much milk led me to overindulge in lactation treats and drinks. Taking care of a very active baby and squeezing in 4 power pumps in one day made me eat for two (or even three). Daily's Diet meal plans made me realize that all I need is to choose smart and pick nutrition-packed food. And no, it doesn't have to taste bland for it to be healthy!

Hello, Daily's Diet.

Daily's Diet is one of the popular meal plan providers in the city. It has an extensive menu catering to those who prefer high protein, medical (low sodium), diabetic, and pescatarian. I chose a high protein, 2,000 calorie meal plan, as it could help me produce more milk. And with zero expectations, my first meal was delivered the following day.

First Bite: Megawatt

I can't help be skeptical whenever a place seems to be too trendy or different. I'd always imagine Instagram-worthy food and it pretty much ends there. As more and more restaurants focus on feeding our social media accounts, most fail to realize that it is more important to satisfy the taste buds than garner a lot of likes. After all, those unforgettable first bites are what will make people go back for more. And I was glad that Megawatt did just that.

Hello, Megawatt
Megawatt has this industrial chic vibe all over. It was first located by a car wash garage and eventually moved to Build Plus where it shares space with a hardware shop. It may seem odd but it also felt right.

Dieting blah part 1

For some reason, I just could not go on a diet for more than a week. I tried a no-rice diet last month and it lasted for a DAY. The second one was a typical eat-less diet and it lasted for HALF A DAY. But I was getting ahead of my story. This blog is all about my failed diet which lasted for less than 15 hours.
I usually munch on Welch fruit snacks (healthier gummy bears) whenever I get hungry. But there are times when I forget to bring my snacks… when I change bags. Unfortunately, on the day I was on my eat-less diet, I forgot my “survival kit”. Thus I opted to buy coffee from the vending machine (instead of braving the traffic elevator). Thinking that extra sugar will make me less acidic, I ALWAYS choose #5, the sweet and creamy coffee with extra sugar.
*Inserted P10 and out came the coffee and it was*

Mud water?
I thought that it is just my eyes since I have been starting at the computer for a long time but my eyes did not deceive me. The coffee lacked cream and I was forced to throw it away. So much for pleasing my grumpy tummy. L
Survival tip #1: Eat.
Survival tip #2: Make sure you have extra food on your bag or work area. But make sure that it is sealed.
