First Bite: Tenya Lokal Menu

It has been more than a year since the coronavirus pandemic hit the Philippines. With new variants coming in, it doesn't seem like the battle is ending anytime soon. Sadly, for many, this is not the only war they face each day. Thousands of Filipinos have lost their jobs and livelihood because of the pandemic. Countless faces struggled each day to make ends meet. But it was through dark times when the true essence of Bayanihan shines. And one stellar example is how restaurants uplift the local producers. Tenya did just that and more.

Hello, Tenya!

Tenya launched its farm-to-table initiative, where they complemented the Japan-sourced ingredients with those from our local farmers and fisherfolk.

By doing so, local communities can have a more steady income stream. This initiative also allowed Tenya to offer a more price-competitive menu which benefits its customers. With donburi prices starting at PHP165, you get a filling and quality meal!

R and I got to try its Sukiyaki Bento (PHP245), Chicken Karaage Don (PHP165), and Ebi Ten Don (PHP165) a few weeks back and found all dishes delicious!

The donburi bowls are filling, and you'd get your money's worth!

Sukiyaki Bento had an addictive rich taste, and I love that it came with maki and even dessert that satisfied my love for variety in a meal. The sukiyaki broth also went well with the ebi ten don! (We love saucy donburi bowls!)

I love that supporting this brand also means supporting our local food producers!

Tenya Lokal menu is available at all Tenya branches. You can also get it through GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Pickaroo.
